Official Colorado State Game Thread

A suspension does nothing for TH's availability for the Oregon and USC games. There will be a time when we can bring up their conduct again ... like when they ask if they can fill our vacant dates in the 2025-2028 sched

Is TH's availability the only consideration here? What about sending a message to other players, and particularly the CSU program, that this kind of play won't be tolerated?

For me, yes. I don't give two ****s about them when we aren't playing them.

I wanted to share a final parting thought with our little brothers in Ft Collins before we go our separate ways.

I know you are still basking in that moral victory glow from an almost Cinderella like moment being invited to mingle with royalty.

Sadly this feeling will further fade on the road this week in a loss to MTSU while Colorado continues on as the most important program in college sports.

Just remember now as always:

I don't think the comment was about CSU, but rather the remaining 9 opponents. The attention this team has received and the perceived cockiness/arrogance creates a target from every single opponent. Every team wants to hand it to CU taking cheap shots are likely not exclusive to CSU. I doubt anything happens (because honestly, who is enforcing anything in CFB these days?) but any kind of suspension would help serve as a reminder to other players thinking about head hunting.

I'm ears if we're talking about disciplining Norvell.

There’s someone posting on 247 to email RG and I kinda agree. I’m gonna send him an email about player safety. Gotta have some form of accountability, especially if teams around the country take notice and come to the same conclusion: 15 yards is a small price to pay for taking out a key player

We know the schools already don’t care about their own kids, much less the safety of the kids wearing the other colors

I like Vic Lombardi, but when it comes to college he just needs to **** off to South Bend as that's where his heart lies.

Love this season- bringing out the savage in even our resident European.

Shouldn't he be lamenting the fact that the Broncos are well on their way to a 5-12 season?

Go 5-12. Cut Russ. Trade the top 10 pick for a second this year and 2 firsts next year. Start Stidham for 2024, go 3-14. Draft Shedeur. This is the way.

I re-watched the game last night. In Norvell's post game statement he made a comment that the penalties were excessive, but insinuated it was the fault of the refs and that the calls took away from the great effort of his players. In watching the game it was easily apparent that 15 of the 17 accepted penalties were obvious penalties. There were two that I am unable to qualify, and didn't know if arm chair refs could clarify:

In the 2nd quarter on the final CSU TD drive there was a call for an illegal chop block at the 4. CSU ended up scoring two plays later so it really didn't matter, but I was unable to see the illegal block on the screen. Did anyone see what happened that drew the call?

The OT play where the receiver ran across the field and did the pick which ended up being a blind side hit. The pick was obvious, but the QB ran the ball instead of throwing. It was a decent hit, but I do not know the rules well enough to know the qualifications of personal foul blind side hit.

The chop block was kind of weak but it looked like their center or guard cut Cokes down while being somewhat engaged with their right guard or tackle.
