I think the tampering is my biggest issue right now. There's got to be a way for a player to gauge market value before entering the portal while avoiding recruiting players that are currently on other teams.

Mostly agree with this. Feels like we've strayed so far away from what NIL was supposed to look like. Residuals for jersey sales, ability to market yourself and make money on advertising, maybe some kickback on TV revenue, etc.
This whole NIL collective has essentially turned this into a professional sport, with no multi-year contracts/commitments from either side.
I'm all for kids being able to make money, but I'm not a fan of the current set up at the college level. Hard to get emotionally invested in kids when a giant percentage are gonna dip into the portal every year.

We won't hear much till the class is finalized. Still, so many potential names that could end up in the portal that would be an upgrade over recruits who are silent commits.

Would love to have both Overton's but if the starting FSU guy #11 left because he wanted a million dollars to stay at FSU, what do you think these guys are asking? I'm sure they want the same amount and everyone here is saying we have no NIL money so not sure why we should expect them.
Imagine losing multiple former 5* recruits like Georgia, aTm, Ohio State have and it not being viewed as a big deal. Must be nice
