Very very nice road win, great to see this team doing what it is supposed to do and everyone was in it, especially Hadley killing it
This is the first time it feels like in forever that Tad needs to Coach to Win every second of every game
Development is over, play for it all every second, get us into the tournament, and win games.
There was a moment at about the 7 minute mark left in the 2nd half that Washington had a 6-0 run and Tad could have taken a timeout cause that run had some momentum. He chose not to, and there was no right or wrong decision there, Tad and the boys had a great game, but this is NOW time.
THREE NBA Players are on this team and a lot of really good role players, so this is Tad's moment to show that he is a 100% game coach.
The Fire Tad thing is because it always seems that Tad is close or developing or building or whatever.
Could win the next 8+ games and be top 4 in the PAC if not win the regular season.
The last 11 games are gonna be fun, especially Arizona at home

FYI, the goofy looking dude with goggles was actually a 4* recruit. Weird.
He benefitted from a Teen Wolf bias.
I'm glad I didn't watch and got good sleep instead. There was a scary moment where KJ's footing went to **** and he went down. Ptsd is not fun

SEATTLE — Colorado's J'Vonne Hadley led five Buffaloes in double figures with 24 points Wednesday and Eddie Lampkin Jr. tallied his sixth double-double of the season as CU collected a 98-81 win over Washington at Alaska Airlines Arena.
Tad Boyle's Buffs won their fourth in a row and collected their first true road win of the season to improve to 15-5 overall and 6-3 in Pac-12 play. Washington fell to 11-9, 3-6.
Hadley shot 8-for-10 from the floor and 7-for-8 from the free throw line to give him his best point total as a Buff. Lampkin scored 14 points and grabbed 10 rebounds and KJ Simpson had a terrific all-around night, finishing with 16 points, eight rebounds and eight assists. Cody Williams added 19 points on 7-for-10 shooting and Tristan da Silva chipped in 10 points.
Keion Brooks led Washington with 19.
The Buffs took control in the first half to lead by nine at intermission, then extended their lead to as much as 21 after the break and Washington never really threatened down the stretch.
Both teams shot well from the field, with the Buffs hitting 55 percent of their attempts (33-for-60) while Washington shot 54 percent (33-for-61). But the big difference came at the free throw line, where CU hit 26 of its 28 attempts while the Huskies were just 10-for-18 from the stripe.
Colorado also held a dominant 38-22 edge on the boards, including 11 offensive rebounds that the Buffs converted into 15 second-chance points.
"I thought our guys really came together tonight," Boyle said. "I told them for the last two days that now is the time to go get a road win — and they went out and did it. They played with great toughness, overcame some adversity early and were really dialed in."

And ASU plays Oregon tonight and Oregon plays Zona on Saturday. So they will all knock each other down.

Went to bed at halftime. Impressed to see the final score. I know Washington is mediocre, but getting that first road win should be big for this team's mentality. As frustrating as they have been at times, 15-5 (6-3) is a good place to be at this point in the season.
Mediocre undersells UW. That was CUs first q1 win. Well. Maybe not anymore since we beat them so bad
And it often looks as if he's not even exerting himself. It felt like if he wanted to score 30+ last night he could have.
It was actually Hadley dominating in the big moments.
It's interesting. In isolation, both the numbers and my eye says we're not a good defensive team. But, compared to the rest of the country, it's not that bad. Essentially, a top-40 defense (and a top-15 rebounding team). The same defensive numbers would've been 71st defensively last year, 106th 2 years ago.
One thing that people have been talking about -- this is one of the most prolific offensive years the country has seen.

we don't have a rim protector (Lampkin is a big body but as we all know, plays close to the ground) or a real lock down defender (Hadley is the closest) but I do feel like for the most part our positioning and awareness on defense is very solid
