Not too shabby. I am new on the boards and am a "friendly" Husker fan so please don't hate me right right off the bat. I live in Denver and am familiar with your attendance figures so yeah, 50,000 is a good turnout. I also think Hawk got a very important win and it was important for him to win the way he did.
I have a question, I know most of you hate the Huskers but what did you think of our game with V-Tech? I am sure you were happy we lost, but what I would like to know is if you thought "Geez, NU played pretty well considering" or if you thought it was just another crap loss by us because we have lost so many big names in a row now. Just wondering.
Actually, I hope for Nebraska to win when they're playing outside the Big 12. Plus, when you're good it makes it so much sweater when we beat you and a little more bearable when we lose to you.
Honest opinion of the V-Tech game? After watching it (DVR'd it), you guys totally dominated but they found a way to win / you found a way to lose. V-Tech makes a living winning ugly and Nebraska makes a living losing to ranked teams. In answer to your question I think it's a little bit of both.
And, welcome! I'm going to be nice, since it's only a matter of time with you living in Denver until you renounce the dark side and become a CU fan. :smile2:
We could not score a td, but we did out gain them in yards and first downs by far.
It's a hard loss.
I noticed something interesting today as I marked the score on my season wall poster: our points scored after three games, 102, our opponents, 28.
We're on the right track by some measures. Not all by far.
CU's is 79 - 77. I think CU is on track as well, now.
I always root for Big XII teams OOC - in conference it depends on how our standing would be affected. But do you really want to count total points when 90% of them were scored against the bottom of division 1? That's not much of a measure. We played badly against lower middle teams and beat a bad team, so I don't think we've shown anything yet.

haven't beat a top 20 team on the road since 1997, but they're back. LMFAO
I wouldnt say "back" but I would say we showed we at least belong on the field with top 15 programs.
and really.....the way CU's program is right now, I don't think there should be threads laughing at any other team. We lost yesterday and all the threads on our football boards is about our team and what we need to do better. So, I guess, keep it classy, Colorado
Oh and, before you "LMFAO" at us for losing to a top 15 team, that we showed we belonged to be playing on their turf, prove you belong on the same field with Toledo or CSU.
I'm not laughing - I rooted for all our teams in OOC play yesterday, but all you've really proved so far is that you can still schedule and beat the worst teams in division 1. Besides that, you're 0-1.
Hey, at least we beat the teams we schedule to beat, We knew before the season that we would run over FAU & Ark St and we knew V-Tech would be competive....how many of you before the season thought you would run over CSU, Toledo, and Wyoming?!?....well good job you beat Wyoming
It feels so much better to get ripped on by Husker fans instead of pitied.
fify.i still feel sorry for you guys, don't take it the wrong way :smile2: I want you to turn it around as much as anybody, i want our showdown at the end of the season to be for the big 12 title  I would rather it be between nu & cu rather than with kansass or mizzou
talk about a major game that would be.

not sure what this means, if they out played V-Tech then NU would have won....it is more like V-Tech played the entire game from start to finish and won
