Three Rivers C.C. (Poplar Bluff, MO)

Hometown: St. Lucia, Caribbean

Ht: 6-foot-9
Wt: 235 lbs

Iowa State and Texas-San Antonio are the main programs recruiting Henry, but CU is on him and Coach McClain has put in a call to the Three Rivers coaches. No confirmed offer yet. Henry should be making several visits in the next few weeks before signing. (All this from a guy on Rivals who is doing a recruiting site for UTSA but went to CU for a bit, is still a Buffs fan, and wanted to pass the info along).

Henry is a sophomore with 2 years of eligibility remaining. He played Center at Three Rivers C.C., but projects at Power Forward.

Here were his stats from this past season:

Points: 11.5 / game
FG %: 51%
FT %: 61%
Rebs: 7.3 / game
Assts: 1.0 / game
Stls: 0.3 / game
Blocks: 1.3 / game
Turnovers: 1.4 / game

Another rebounder and post defender type. Brings more offense than some of the other guys we are looking at, but still has a lot of room for improvement with his offensive efficiency and effectiveness.

Nice work man, figured there were some others out there. How many guys do we have room for? Id like a center and 2 power forwards but would be happy with one of each.

We've got 3 spots. I'd like to get a "4" and a "5" that can start right away (JUCOs). Then a 3rd frontcourt guy we can develop (freshman).

There are a couple more guys that CU is on. More info will be coming out in the next week or two.

Nice thing is with the young talent we have, scoring isn't essential. I wouldn't be upset to get a big man with some scoring ability but for the most part if we can get some guys to play tough post defense and rebound we will be okay. We have enough guys who are threats off the drive that our big guys should get some points just off of dump offs and rebounds from the guards and wings.

On the other hand it would be nice to get a couple of guys who can deny position in the post, physically rebound, and set some picks and pick up some O rebounds.

I really wanted a 7 foot rebounder more than anything, but looking at who we are recruiting. I really want Rob Loe to be our 5 who can step outside and shoot and a 6-8 to 6-9 PF type who can bang around the boards. Not really sure who is going to take Higgins and Burks place in two season (assuming Burks leaves early) but that will have to be addressed next offseason, it seems that the guards can come on and contribute a bit faster in this offense.
