What I would wonder is if this administration might secretly hope for the break-up of the Big XII or Big XII north giving them an excuse to move to a lower budget conference (MWC.) I think that any attempt to downgrade the program would be political suicide. At the same time this current administration has already shown that they don't value the football program.
It will only be just the beginning. As we continue to struggle with funding from the state, the school will eventually shut down. RIP CU.
then we can retain hawk!!! wooooooooo :lol:Doooooooom!
This would be intramurals, brotha'!
someone forgot to take his sarcasm piiiiills.that sounds a little dramatic. Tuition will go up, and programs may be cut or scaled back, but CU isn't going anywhere. Not any time soon. And football still makes money and with TV etc. has the potential to make even more, so it's the least likely of all sports to be cut. Hang in there, guys, CU will rise again.

Dangit Alferd, first I have to tell Nik when folks are joking and now you too? We really do need that sarcasm font. Let's see if this helps...
After the school shuts down, the loss of revenue generated by out-of-state-students and their rich visiting parents will send all of Colorado's economy into a downward spiral. Eventually, the financial drain on the entire nation will necessitate that the State of Colorado will become unincorporated from the union and ultimately become annexed by nebraska.
I also posted thinking this was serious. I've got terrible radar for this type of thing and am pretty gullible about thinking people are serious when they're ****ing with me. It's pretty hopeless, actually.
A sarcasm font would be ftmfw. :smile2:
We'll get to work on installing one of those right away. Just for you and Buffnik...
Alferd is the other one. I get them confused sometimes too....

Yes. I think I read somewhere the Dan Hawkin's contract is scheduled to come to an end sometime in 2012.

Gotta get a new coach first.
Deep down, I believe that any team is capable of rising above a mediocre coach.

It's funny you mention that...every time I buy a lotto ticket, deep down I know I'm gonna win $65 million.
