Behrens redshirted in 2007, then earned Freshman All-Big 12 honors as a freshman in 2008. He was atop the LG depth chart entering fall camp in 2009 (and was preseason 4th Team All-Big 12 by Phil Steele). But Behrens never got back into the flow following spring shoulder surgery and was also limited with nagging injuries during the entire 2009 campaign. Known as a technician on the OL, Behrens can play all 3 interior positions and is competing for the starting LG spot in 2010.
