Pelluer compiled over 100 tackles as a sophomore and again as a junior. He helped his team to the 4A state title as a junior and earned league DPOY and All-State honors in the process.

His father, Scott Pelluer, played five years in the NFL for the Saints after starring at Washington State. He also had assistant coaching stints at both Washington and Arizona several years ago. Peyton has two brothers, Tyler (Montana) and Cooper (Washington), currently playing at the college level.

Good looking player. Gotta love LB's with instincts. Also has a penchant for getting through traffic on blitzes.

Skyline is the best football school in the state of WA year in and year out out in Sammamish. Would love to build a pipeline here. NEED to build a pipeline here.

Think you mean Steve here, BB - and he played at UDub. Given the connection and the older brother already at UDub, can always hope, but I think it is a long shot for us.

I stand corrected. Didn't know there was a second Pelluer. Still stand by statement that we are a longshot here though - between Sark and now Leach, people in these parts are way psyched about their college football at both universities. And Leach hasn't done **** yet.

I like the film would be a great get. I do prefer that the linebackers listen to slayer or pantera though

That pic is so representative of mid-September thorugh about May in Seattle. Lots of fog, low hanging clouds and drizzle.

UW had Pelleur, Paul Sicaro, Mark Brunell and Hugh Millen all on the roster at one time...IIRC. Talk about QB depth.

If his brother Tyler was named Eli, they'd be like the mannings, with multigenerational big time football players, with the boys having the same names.

I'm far too lazy to do the research, but it seems like there have been a lot of kids coming out of Skyline HS/Samammish HS recently (Both are in the same area). Am I mistaken?

Samammish and Bellevue are large, growing suburbs of Seattle (east of city) with a lot of financial resources to have good facilities. Since we hadn't recruited Washington before joining the Pac-12, I don't have a good feel for how the talent there now compares with a decade ago. But there seems to be a good number of quality recruits in the area. We seem to be focusing there and in the Tacoma area (south of Seattle).

CU has such a reputation for producing great LBs (thanks to Cabral). I wonder why we don't get more 4 and 5* talent interested in being Buffs.

Lack of wins and not being nationally prominent for nearly a decade.

We have recruited Wa, but it seems like ancient history. The Buffs pulled some nice talent from the PNW back in the 90's, but not as frequent in the next decade. Last one I can think of is Jason Brace (more injuries than playing time).

Odd that Halkins coached at Boise State, but he never seemed to make any in roads into Washington, especially considering how weak both Udub amd Wazzou were at the time (another FAIL). In the late 90's we had Vic Rogers and Tyler Brayton (both on to the NFL) and also a high level recruit in Ty Gregorak, who sadly never reached his full potential due to some unfortunate injuries. Washington is state that we can be successful in for sure.

Well, his pops played at UDub IIRC, my guess is he's angling for a UDub offer...

This is the one that I think hurts the least today. I like Pelleur, but I'm not sure there's much difference between him and guys like Frazier, Carter, or the Latu's, all of whom we seem to be in pretty good shape with.

 Guess we've already forgotten about 3 new commits, putting us way beyond recent past.
