    RyanJamesMN:

Right now he's listed as a SF on three of the sites and PF on the other, so we're going with SF here but I expect that to change. Sounds like he's going to be a PF when it's all said & done. ESPN's write up of him makes him sound a little like XJ/Dre -- long arms, big hands and a great rebounder with natural instincts. He's only listed between 6'5" and 6'7", but they describe him as "gawky", so it sounds like he's still growing into his body. Needs to work on his polish. Hopefully CU can point to Roberson as an example of what he could do here.

Rivals has a great write-up of him. He's pretty in-demand right now and is considered one of the top recruits in the state of MN along with another CU target - Rashad Vaughn.

GopherHole has a good interview with him as well.

He also plays QB for his football team.

Stanford with a damn good class. 3 Top 100 players, with a possibility of a 4th if they get Welsh. Probably the 2nd best class in the Pac-12

I'm amazed by this recruiting class because Dawkins doesn't know how to coach up players, maybe it is just the school recruiting itself, and even with all this talent, Dawkins won't do anything with them considering he still hasn't made the tourney in five years there with his current group (might do it this year but I have doubts).

If they couldn't make it the last two years, I don't see why they will this year.

So correct me if I am wrong here, but these Stanford recruits sign their intent in Feb, but the coach can be fired at the end of the season and the kids can be stuck playing for a new coach?

Well usually if a coach is fired they are let of the LOI. I can't speak for the Reid Travis recruitment but Humphrey committed to Stanford not to Dawkins. The Stanford education really does recruit itself and in Humphreys case he will end up there no matter who the coach is next year.
    Nice pick up Stanford!

Yikes I know.. One of the few aspects I do not enjoy about college sports. Seeing adults drag a kids name through the mud for not choosing the college they root for.

This year's Furd class is surprising. It seemed to be dipping the past couple years and then BOOM GOES THE DYNAMITE!

The main consolation for me is that Dawkins wasn't coaching good defense before and it's going to get really bad up there with the new rules that are trying to curtail the Duke philosophy of grabbing, hand checking, and undercutting with a flop to draw charges.

Big class for Stanford, but this should help if the staff tries to get back in on Pickens.

Consider yourself as having been corrected. That is totally utter BS. You are NEVER let out of an LOI when there is a coaching change.

When the program goes on NCAA restrictions, recruits can get out of it. That is the situation with the example you cited.

Never because a coach is fired for sucking. And certainly not USUALLY.
