2016: Recruiting News, Notes & Official Visitors

Doubtful either of them were at the 7 on 7, but I'm sure they both were there at the individual camp on Saturday.
Gotcha, didn't realize there were multiple camps this weekend. Good to know thanks.

Point remains, think McC was up there able to show off his latest linemen for the staff

Looks like a potential JC target, (3 start cornerback) Eric Jenkins-

He also tweeted a few hours ago #GoBuffs after retweeting this Coach Baer tweet-

(Probably obvious the facility upgrades WILL help recruiting, but always good (for me anyway) to see specific examples of the upgrades being noticed by recruits.)

Mason Vinyard is a name to keep an eye on at TE. He apparently was one of the better offensive players at USC's recent camp (annually one of the more talented groups out there). Out of the San Diego area from the same high school as Michael Adkins.

Some more visitors on campus today (besides Watts & Julmisse):

[tweet]614606756019245056[/tweet]

Pookie Maka (2016 DE/OLB)
Fua Pututau (2016 OLB/DE)
Taniela Pututau (2017 WR/FS)

Took a look at their tweets from the past couple days. Looks like they made the drive together.

From Coach Leavitt's Twitter:

Awesome day! Had great players in, workouts went great! Commitments coming. I understand. What's not to like. So many positives. Go Buffs!

Big is an understatement. He is 6'2" 230 lbs. I hope he is in the backfield.

Made Florida ATH Hussein Howe's top 7. But he spells Colorado wrong and puts a money emoji next to our name..

Disclaimer: there is no indication that CU is recruiting Monterey Peninsula JUCO WR Brandon Sampson.

If you want, you can check out the December grad's highlights here: http://www.hudl.com/athlete/4317850/highlights/268011375/v2

But, damn, I just had to post about him. The footwork in this short vid was completely ridiculous.

Edit: apparently being targeted by So Miss and Rutgers.

Seems like Aug 1st is shaping up to be a pretty big recruiting weekend for CU. Lots of unofficials coming to check out the new facility.

Does anyone know who exactly is visiting today? And does anyone have a prediction on next commit?

That's the HS that Huntley and Julmisse go to. Hopefully it's not something that negatively impacts CU's recruiting since it seems like a great relationship was built at that school.

New guy was promoted from within the staff?

From the article linked in the tweet:

DELLARIA IS THE CHOICE
As the season fast approaches, the Paladins needed to look no further than the current staff to promote Nicholas “Nick” Dellaria.

Dellaria is an 18-year coaching veteran. He has coached at Monarch, Dillard, Piper and South Plantation. While this will be his first head coaching job, Dellaria has been assistant head coach for over the past years at South Plantation, and has been Gatewood’s “right hand man”.

Yeah definitely didn't read the article, so thanks. Have to figure if he's been at SP for a while and been Gatewood's right hand man, that he's been around the recruiting process for those guys enough to where it shouldn't have any sort of negative impact.
