As with the other more "individual" sports, thought I'd set up this thread to report on notable results for the indoor track and field men's and women's teams throughout the regular season, as the 1st meet (or possibly meets?***) are scheduled for this weekend, and cubuffs.com has released its preview. The thread will also be used for any other general news that pops up during the season regarding the teams and any of their individuals.
(I will set up a separate thread for the NCAA Championships (scheduled for 3/10-11/2022 in College Station, TX). Typically, I have also had a separate thread for conference (in this sport MPSF) championships, but after not taking place last season (which I assumed to be due to the pandemic), it looks like there's also no MPSF's scheduled this season.)
Full Schedule:
(Note- as I often like to point out, my recollection is that track and field is much more likely to add or subtract meets from their schedule than other sports, even after the season begins.)

Edit - Mainly copying from prior years' threads, an explanation of how qualifying for the NCAA Championships works for the indoor track and field season:

- In individual events, it's just the athletes who earn the top 16 times or marks during the qualifying period who accept the invitation to go to the championships for that event.
- For relays, it's the teams with the top 12 times who accept a bid.
- Note that there are adjustments made for (1) altitude and (2) facility rating. (An Altitude conversion app and facility conversion factor document can be found in the next link below.)
