Verbal to other '25 MI QB Bryce Underwood

Crazy to think that in the entire glorious history of the University of Colorado sending hundreds of players into the NFL we have never been close to having a QB drafted in the first round.

Now if Bryce decides come play for Prime he could follow Shedeur and give us two high first round picks in a row.

Kordell was late 2nd, but before his time and was "Slash" before they let him play QB. I think he'd have been a top tier NFL QB of his era if they had offenses like Philly and Miami currently run. Similarly, college hadn't seen the Rodriguez & Kelly style offenses yet when he played and Mac was searching for a system that could replace the traditional option attack. He would have been unstoppable in a CFB spread option and the current NFL adaptations of it.

Absolutely.

Agree, and I also think that if CU had converted the offence one year earlier and Kordell had another year of coaching and playing in an offense with more NFL type passing it would have made a huge difference for him. That he was able to make the transition he did shows how talented he was.

For a guy like Underwood though seeing what is happening in Boulder should be appealing. This is a staff that knows what it takes to win at the college level but also what the NFL wants and they are going to adapt to give talented players the chance to shine.

Kordell gets the respect of a 1st rounder

You can never be scared of competition to be elite. It’s not a surprise we’re still in on him. We’ll have an immediate opening. Maybe the bigger question is whether Antwann Hill stays committed, if Underwood did commit.

What kind of world is it that we live in now that the Buffs are in a serious courtship with two top QB prospects…one being the no.1 overall recruit?

All of this while having who could be the No.1 QB pick for the 2025 draft?!

Sitting at 4-5 (after a 1-11 season) ain’t so bad…

JFC. Just imagine thinking that an OL is a bigger priority than this kid.

Think about all the coaches who have had very good teams, but have never won a title without a elite talent at QB:
  • Mack Brown (Vince Young, No. 1 QB recruit in his class)
  • Jimbo (Jameis, No 1 QB recruit in his class)
  • Dabo (Deshaun Watson AND Trevor Lawrence, both No. 1 QB recruits in their class)
  • Chizik (Cam Newton, No. 2 QB recruit in his class, virtually tied with Tyrod Taylor)
Unless you are Georgia, OSU, or Alabama, you aren't winning a natty without a top 1-2 type QB recruit. That's what this kid can do- remove the ceiling for what's possible.

He could be Tom Brady reincarnate and he wouldn’t be able to do anything without a line. OL is absolutely a bigger priority as it stands. Can’t make the throws if you don’t have time to throw
