#64 Men's Golf at the Wyoming Cowboy Classic

The #64 men's golf team will travel to Scottsdale, Arizona today and tomorrow when they compete in the 12th Annual Wyoming Cowboy Classic at the Talking Stick Golf Club hosted by Wyoming. The event will play 54-holes over two days with two 18-hole rounds on Monday and the final 18 holes on Tuesday. Each morning will begin with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. MT.

This season's field will feature 21 teams: Wyoming, Air Force, BYU, UC Davis, UC Irvine, UC Riverside, UC Santa Barbara, Colorado, Gonzaga, Idaho, Kansas State, Oklahoma, Old Dominion, Santa Clara, Southern Utah, Utah, Utah State, UTEP, UT Pan American, UTSA and Weber State. Four of the teams in the field are in the top-100 of the Golfweek Rankings with Oklahoma leading the way at No. 14, BYU is next at No. 44, followed by UC Davis at No. 61 and Colorado at No. 64.

Gonzaga won the 2013 Cowboy Classic team championship with a total tally of 574 (+14). Colorado was six strokes behind with 580 (+20) for a second-place finish, as Tulsa was two shots behind the Buffs for third. Glen Scher of UC Santa Barbara took home the individual medalist honors. He was the only player to finish sub-par with a two-round total of 138 (-2).

A much better first round than second for the Buffs as they fall into a tie for 2nd place, but just one stroke out of the lead.
