Sorry about the duplicate post, but after I had posted this in another thread I felt it was worthy of its own title.

Assuming that Maryland doesn't pull off a miracle comeback against Cal, it's pretty much been a complete disaster for the ACC this weekend. Their only OOC wins came against Middle Tennessee State, The Citadel, Northeastern, and Jacksonville State. Seriously, I'm not making this up.

    Among their losses:
    - An NC State team that many considered a darkhorse ACC contender losing to South Carolina, considered by most to be a lower division SEC team.
    - A mid-tier Wake team losing to Baylor, probably the 3rd or 4th worst team in the Big 12.
    - Arguably their best team, VT, losing to a Bama team that may only be the 3rd or 4th best team in the SEC.
    - Losses to Richmond and William & Mary

Not sure Bama is the 3rd or 4th team in the SEC though..

This sets up for an exciting Miami vs FSU game..

Even worse, the 4 losses you mentioned (NCSt to SC, WF to Bay, Duke to Richmond & Virginia to W&M)... were all ACC home games.

I said they may be the 3rd or 4th best team in the SEC Their offense appears to be ahead of what was expected of them given their losses and supposedly shaky OL. But in addition to Florida there's Ole Miss, and UGA lost to a pretty damm good OSU team on the road. As for LSU, I don't know what's going on with them tonight.

Miami definitely has the potential to be a surprise in the ACC, but we should definitely know about that after their first 4 games.
