Not many at the Rice game either.
I'm sure the weather messed up travel plans for many. Also they are offering free admission because they expected such a low turnout.
The weather issues in Texas are dominating the news right now.
I just saw a shot of the crowd. Holy moly. The AAC does not take their football seriously enough.
There is literally NO ONE on the one side of the stadium and both ends.
Sheet of ice on every surface, vertical or horizontal and in a State of Emergency? Yeah, no big deal.
It is ****ing hot. Feels like 92 here.
Here's the deal: On Thursday night it sleeted about 1 to 2 inches of little ice balls here in DFW that accumulated everywhere. Yesterday I went out a drove in it and had no problems because it was in the upper 20s and it was mainly slushy. However, overnight it dropped into the low 20's to upper teens and all the slush and water turned into a 1 inch thick sheet of ice on many roads, parking lots, pretty much everywhere. Most of the main roads are clear but side streets and people's driveways are just straight ice.
Also, most people in this area won't consider driving if there's a light dusting of snow so ice really scares them.
However, the most important reason it's so empty is because that's how SMU's stadium looks every game in the first place.
I'm so sorry
I counted. There are 27 people in the stands.
UCF has already clinched a BCS berth right? This game means nothing.
Nothing for UCF, really. I think I heard them say that $MU needs it to become bowl eligible, though.
The beach is popping right now. Life is good in Florida.
Enjoy. It will be 140 again before you know it.
Except for the whole 'Florida' part
Congratulations, the University of Nebraska at Lincoln is proud to award you a B.S. in Applied Mathamatics.
UCF is going to get murdered in the Fiesta vs. (whoever)
No. Watching bedlam; they didn't seem to any problems filling the stadium seats in stoolwater.
I'm picturing a scenario where Baylor goes to the Fiesta and their best defensive player Hager is banged up again. BU would put up a lot of points but I bet Bortles would take the D to the woodshed with some deep throws and keep it close. OSU plays them instead, I won't watch. Slaughter.
B12 lays another egg. Their one highly respected team Okie State manages to lose to the Sooners again.
ugh. I was looking forward to the Texas/Bailer game being meaningless. Nice job Okie Lite.
I wish more of y'all believed that. I'm tired of sitting in traffic.
The Feista Bowl committee must be dreading ticket sales if they end up with UCF. If they could match up Baylor and Oregon that would be one hell of an offensive show.
Yes. UCF in the Orange or sugar would probably sell out their allotment. Both are drivable. Phoenix is a bit more of a trip.
