Big games kind of lacking this weekend..
yea, this game will be close for about 3 minutes. bummer!
however, FCSC is replaying the 2004 CU vs csewe game. you can watch MH get stuffed again.
Doesn't the season always open with the sacrifice of some inferior opponent?
They typically don't put a big game such as LSU/Auburn on a Thursday night.
There typically isn't very many big games the first weekend. Many top teams like Michigan, Ohio State, Texas, USC, Bama, etc. are opening up with I-AA teams or patsies. The Ga Tech-ND game should be interesting as well as OSU-Georgia, with Tennessee-Cal the headliner. And Mizzou-Illinois will be closer than alot of people might expect.
Boise state plays tonight. I know it's against weber state but I am wondering how they'll progress given that Zabransky, their QB and most of last year's team are gone.
Can't say I would enjoy watching Auburn open against LSU. Talk about a way to get a season going south fast.
well, if you are going to lose, lose early!
Don't you have to make some sort of kudos to the Buffaloes Team Goal for 2006?:sad1:
That's what the Clemson-FSU loser is looking at Monday night. The loser of that one is practically eliminated from the division race. Yes they're in the same division with the ACC's ****ed up "Coastal" and "Atlantic" divisions. :wtf:
That's the kind of thing I'm talking about. While 4dem's point about losing early helps on a national scale, it's pretty hard to recover in a division race if you lose that first game. You're down the equivalent of two games (with the tiebreaker) after one week. That would really suck. I'm glad the Big 12 conference games are separate from non-conference games.
well yea! :sad1:
however, think back to the 2001 season. had the loss to Fresno St (?) came in mid season or at the end, CU would not have missed playing for the natl championship by .03 or whatever it was. that was my only point. :smile2:
you mean if we have just kicked the field goal?
or just run it in rather than pass? just one of dem things!
if i remember correctly, Ochs (?) could have just run it in....
well, guess not! its a texas high school football game. the "info" for the show still gives the CU game...
not that it matters.
Damn, Starkville is rocking.
Holy crap, MSU's offense is BAD.
Agreed, I like playing the non-con games first before getting into the conference schedule. As you pointed out, a loss to a division foe essentially puts you 2 games down to that particular team.
Yea they are! They're not running the ball too bad considering it's against one of the nation's top defenses, but that QB, Selig or whatever his name is, is pathetic.
Did anybody see that MSU safety get PWNED! by the LSU receiver. Holy **** that was a nasty block! Guys head went sideways, backwards and down. Afterward, he definitely had no idea where he was...
Yea we didn't even throw this many interceptions last year!
Christ I stayed up for this.
Man that game sucked ass.. 45-0.... Miss St QB throws 6 picks. Frickin awful...
That was right up there with Walters decleating Potorff a couple of years ago in the CSU game...frickin' beautiful. I love CFB!
was that Art Shell on the sidelines? same result.
LOL.. Kind of did actually..
