I listened to the game yesterday and was thrilled to see the team get the win.
Hansen brought an electricity to the game. Thanks to the coaching staff for making the move and thanks to the D for an awesome game.

It sounded like there is still a lot of work to do though, particularly with the offense.

    So I am satisfied, but...........

I love our Buffs, but even this homer can see that we can't move the ball yet.

We can't? almost a buck fity for speedy, and almost 100 oon the ground for our QB. A very nice TD pass, and a key pass by the QB everybody has come to dislike on 3rd and 15 to seal the deal? We need to figure out how to get it in the endzone more, but I was satisfied with how we moved it yesterday. Oh and we should have had 20 points if we had Mason Crosby or Kevin Eberhart.

    1. can't blame the block on kicker. that was just a jailbreak.
    2. Eberhart was always good for 1 miss early in the game.
    3. Yes, Crosby would still have somehow made that first one by drilling the ball through the blocking players skull and still making the kick.

I don't care about the block. I am kinda bitter at the fact that he hasn't made a single kick in 4 games with attempts in each one of them. And we gave him a sholarship for a short kick he almost missed.

There were bright spots, but not sustained, confident drives. I'm realistic about the reasons, and optimistic for our future. But as FS pointed out on another thread...14 points against the worst D in the Big XII...

Win was expected. It was a nail biter.

I am satisfied with Coach Hawk. He took a bold move to right the ship by playing Hansen.

The offense is still very green. I am not satisfied with the level of competition with ranked teams at the moment.

However, I remain confident that the program is going in the right direction and will bring Colorado back to the top of the B12.

    Happy for the win but.....

    1. 14 points vs that defense is pathetic.

    2. Helfrich is awful

3.Can we get a fg kicker and a punter who takes advantage of the altitude in here?

4.Can someone block when scott gets the ball? Always a missed block and scott getting tackled in the backfield.

    5.Thanks Hansen!

    6. Even more, thanks speedy and the DEFENSE!

1-4 THE REST OF THE WAY.

I still see wins over ISU and A&M. NU is a tossup.

Yep, that's the I say it too.
I would gladly take a win over NU than A&M though if I had the power to arrange that choice

Last season, when we swept the South Division, weren't two of those three wins on the road?

The thing is the way the Buffs are playing we very well could go 0-5 the rest of the way out. I envision a 3-2 finish down the stretch:

    Mizzou: Loss, but close
    Texas A&M: Win, but close
    Iowa State: Win, big
Okie State: Win, we are always good to upset one solid South team
    Nebraska: Loss, in Lincoln

We always play well at College Station. And I don't buy that A&M is that good. They played Tech tough, but that's Tech. If TT is not clicking, they are a horrible team because of their lack of a running game and defense.

I'm with you all the way on this one! I hope Hawkins has someone else in camp next year that can kick straight & true.

I believe our winning ability will depend heavily on how quickly Hansen learns more of the offense from here on out. Cody should start but Hansen needs to develop into the starter quickly. There sooner that happens the better chance we have at winning 3+ games. If he is still overwhelmed, remember he's a true freshman, than I see only one win maybe 2.

As my age increases and my perspective advances, I'm increasingly aware that things are seldom as they appear. I don't think anyone here knows enough about the Scott situation to develop a strong opinion.
