They have given most QBs they played this year, their worst passing game.
They are really good in coverage even if they don't have high scores like us, the film isn't bad.
They are a sound defensive team, just suck ass at pass rush. They can get sacks, 3.3 sacks a game. They aren't even playing good pass-pro teams outside of USC. Everyone they played is bad at it and they aren't getting pressure much. They struggle at getting hits and most of their pressure comes from their two starting EDGE rushers in Dorbah and Green II.
PFF rates their pass rush, 116 in the nation.

Offensively, they have a strong pass pro and running attack. Their run blocking is considered worse than CU. They also struggle with passing (5th worst in the nation) and receiving (13th worst in the nation). That said, they have been playing better in the last two games. Really building good habits and they are well coached.

Overall, I think CU is the clearly better team. That said, they do have a couple of solid edge guys who if given time can get to the QB. Their QB play this year has been awful. They lack weapons badly. I do believe CU has a chance to really show it's quality against this team. We need a good performance from Miller and if that happens, we should easily win this game.

Colorado plays to their opposition’s level. This is a must-win game, which requires focus.
This is a team where they are clearly better than even without Hunter. They need to win and win impressively. Hard to say they play down to their opponent so far this year but they better not against ASU.

big big big game-- not just for the degenerates who have CU over 3.5 wins like me. win this one and the odds of a bowl game are just so much better than if we drop an L.

also, for the new peeps, asu stands for america's stripper U and the only thing that they win at is producing strippers, escorts, bar tenders, and so forth. we gonna win.

They played up to TCU and U$C. They played down to nuh and csu for much of each game. Oregon was bad news.

I wouldn't draw conclusions after only 5 games of the Prime era. That said, this team has started slowly in games and needs to fix that.
The next game will mark the halfway point of the season. This particular team has shown a very poor tendency to match the other team’s skill level so far. That’s a major issue that needs to get fixed ASAP because it appears now to be more habitual than accidental.

Just to be clear, Arizona State should absolutely be laughed at
Did someone accidentally head home with stripper glitter on them? I kid. Screw asu— they have always played us dirty too.

1. ASU is ALWAYS something to laugh at.

2. We're still going to have play well to beat their football team and need to take the game seriously.

That CSU team has some good grades. Don't be shocked that's a 7 to 8-win team. Their DL grades are high-end. Kamara and Holton are some of the best players in the nation. If they had better safeties and a much better QB, they would be a serious threat to win the Mountain West. They have some legit studs.

Horton is listed as PFF's 2nd best WR to get 80% of snaps. Whereas Zay is at the bottom of this list in this category. https://premium.pff.com/ncaa/positions/2023/REGPO/receiving?division=fbs&position=WR&minimum=80p

At 50% of snaps played, Kamara is 5th and 2nd in pass rushing.

We didn't play down to Colorado State. They were just a lot better than we expected.

My ratings differ from PFF on csu.

They’re a 3-4 win team.

7-8 wins for CSU? Come on dude. We did play down to CSU-having Gameday and Big Noon (who didn't even have the game) in town didn't help.

Let's talk about their remaining sked-
Boise-They're down. Swing game for CSU. If you handed me a benjamin and told me I had to use it to bet the game, I'd take Boise.
@UNLV-They're 4-1 under Barry Odom. I think Wyoming and AFA are better than they are, but I think UNLV will get to six wins and go bowling.
Air Force-AFA is really good. They should be ranked, and they're probably favored in every game they have left outside of possibly Wyoming. They're not because their schedule has been so easy, but they've hammered the three MWC teams they've played, and I think they'll probably handle CSU.
@Wyoming-same deal. Really good team that should win 9-10 games. They'll whip CSU.
SDSU-watched them last night. I don't think they're as bad as Air Force made them look, and I think this is another swing game for the Rammies.
Nevada-terrible football team. CSU wins here.
Hawaii-Game's at Hawaii. We all know how tough they are out there compared to on the mainland. I'd actually take Hawaii to win that game.

I'm gonna agree with @manhattanbuff. I don't think they're much better than 3 or 4 wins.

Agree. The jokes write themselves. I think CU's probably good enough to beat anybody they play-and I include OSU/WSU in that.

They're also eclectic enough to where they can blow any game they have left. Gotta be locked in going to Tempe Saturday. Heat might be a bit of a factor-so I'd break out the white/gold unis from CSU.

After the efforts against CSU and Oregon, CU can’t afford to take anyone lightly. Should win but capable of blowing it

Utah State as a win
I have Boise as a win
UNLV as a toss-up
AF as an L
Wyoming as an L
SDSU as a W, they suck ass this year
Nevada as a W
Hawaii as a W

7 wins. 8 possible wins

CSU fixed a lot of their glaring issues this off-season in the portal in the offensive trenches. Their new QB isn't good but he's average and that's all they need to be honest to win 7-8 games.

@manhattanbuff, who do you think is beating them since you have them only winning 1 or 2 more games?

Unless Horton or Kamara are hurt, they aren't losing much this year. They have two legit NFL day 2 picks and the rest of the team is decent, I don't see them losing many games against this level of competition.

They aren't a bowl team.

USU-that game is in Logan. They have an experienced QB in Legas. Anderson's a much better coach than Norvell is. Tossup/lean USU because its in Logan.
Boise's 2-3-but their losses are to UW (Playoff contender), UCF (3-2), and Memphis (4-1). Tossup/lean goats.
UNLV's a loss. They're 4-1. That loss was a payday at Michigan. They've beaten everyone else played by double digits.
Air Force has a shot at an undefeated season. They are that good, and their schedule is that easy. They're racking up style points in conference play-up 25 on USU at half, dropped 35 unanswered on San Jose, and then embarrassed San Diego State last night.
Wyoming can win 10 games-especially if they get Fresno at home next weekend.
SDSU is nowhere near as bad as Air Force made them look. They can go to Fort Collins and win. Toss up.
Nevada's terrible. I'll give you that one.
Hawaii-that game is at Hawaii. I have it as a loss. They're a different team when you go to the islands, and I don't trust CSU going out there.

You care about this way more than I do. I don't give a damn about any of the teams mentioned above.
