was there a new update i missed?
It's always been a longshot, bcs. If we can get him, it's a no-brainer that we'd take him. But the odds are that we'll have to go in a different direction. If I'd had a "sign DeAndre Daniels" option in the poll, I'm pretty sure that just about everyone would vote that way. People are generally in favor of signing top ten national prospects. :smile2:
Do you know for a fact that Chen isin't on scholarship and do you know of any '11 players other then Daniels who we are "targeting?"
I'd be down with bringing in that center from the JC in Wyoming. Silva I think?
Nik have you heard anything new on Daniels? Very weird recruitment.
Chen was on scholarship for this season and it was a year-to-year thing. I haven't gotten a practice report from any insiders or seen one published, so I don't know how he has looked and whether he's a guy we'll keep on scholarship. If he is and there's no other attrition, I can easily see Boyle standing pat. Chen is potentially the only scholarship junior on the squad next year and we've got a 4-man 2012 class. Wouldn't be good for 2013 to be empty.
I think he'd be a nice addition. Would give us a 2nd center while letting us redshirt Mills.
Just read an update from AM, doesn't sound promising with Daniels but something has to be up with him.
What's the update?
He interviewed Dinwiddie and he didn't give an indication that Daniels is coming to CU. Said he liked it, though. Daniels recruiting has been so weird that I won't believe anything until he signs.
Any updates? Nik? Please?
Haven't seen anything on Rivals about him.
Just sent an email out working some back channels to find out if Boyle's even looking to sign another guy for 2011. Hopefully I'll get something.
Thanks Nik. As always, your work is much appreciated!
Daniels to make his decision on May 18th (last day of signing period).
Final 3 of Kansas, Duke and Texas.
Unfortunate, but expected.
glad I didn't get hopes up
