Pretty harsh. You can hate the team without hating on the kid.

Agreed. These guys put in so much work and Braxton has a potential NFL career now in serious jeopardy.

Bigger impact to this is the acceleration of a move to an 8 team playoff when the Big 10 gets left out in the cold this year.

Pencil Sparty in as the B1G Champion? They'll be favored in all their games except the trip to Oregon.

I don't know. Take a look at Iowa. That's the kind of schedule that could put an above average team on a roll to set them up for an inflated season.

Miller faces the same problem as a lot of this generation of QBs who are tremendous athletes relying on their mobility to make plays. They are dynamic and can change a game but they are always one hit away from their season being done.

I wonder if he could use this injury as a lesson and opportunity to work on playing the position in a way that relies more on his teammates and leaves him at much less risk. Still keep the threat of running, still keep the unpredictablity in his game but tone it back and be more selective in using it.

Reports are that RG3 is back to his high risk, try to make the play ways which is likely to result in him going down again. On the other side a guy like Russell Wilson always poses the threat but has learned to go down or throw it away unless the opportunity to make something happen is wide open.

Both Wiscy and Iowa have some pretty cake conf schedules. I figure one of them will meet Sparty in the championship game. And yes, I am writing Nebraska off.

got to believe ohio st has a 4 or 5 star QB waiting in the wings -

they start the season at Navy and then Va Tech, kent state and Cincy at home then the Big 10 season starts at Maryland, Rutgers at home, at Penn St, Illinois at home and then at both Mich St and Minnesota with Indiana and Michigan to close the season-

I bet they end up 8-4 or 9-3

Don't forget their backup absolutely went off last year when Braxton went down. I see them finishing between 11-1 and 9-3.

I'm pretty sure that wasn't the same backup.

I believe that they're looking at a freshman to be the starter.

It was a throwing injury. Didn't get hit.

    It may have been.

That doesn't change the fact that he plays a similar style to a lot of the others putting himself at risk frequently for the kind of hits that put QBs on the sideline. If he is planning to play in the NFL for longer than 6 weeks he needs to consider modifying his playing style.

Mtn realizes Miller was never a QB prospect for the NFL... right?

At the moment he isn't and I don't think he ever will be but I have heard him a couple times sound like he thinks he is and Urban may have convinced him that he is.

My guess is that he ends up in somebodies camp as an athlete but if he has any hope or desire to try it at QB he is going to have to modify his game.

Also as limited as he may be as a pro QB he may at least get a shot. He can't be much worse than what we saw out of SF's 3rd stringer, he also isn't that different than Terrell Pryor who is still taking snaps in the NFL.

Miller was a fun guy to watch other than that CU game when it felt like he made more guys miss on his runs than the Buffs had on the field.

Every QB at the college level thinks they are NFL material. In fact, if you have a guy who doesn't think he is playing in the NFL for at least a couple of years. Even BJax thought he had a legitimate shot at the NFL.

Preseason, OSU with Miller was borderline playoff material, as they are in the B1G and have a pretty easy schedule. I don't see any chance this team makes the playoffs. Michigan State or Wisconsin (easy schedule) has the best chance.
