Football Scoop, a top source for coaching news, reported this evening that that University of Colorado wide receivers coach and recruiting coordinator, Troy Walters will leave CU to join the staff at the University of Central Florida under new head coach Scott Frost.

UCF friends, sounds like Scott Frost has his first big recruiting win https://t.co/sNnVtycOD5

After confirming, our sources tell us that this is “not a lateral move” for Coach Walters as he will be promoted to offensive coordinator at his new gig. It’s a great opportunity for a coach who has worked extremely hard at Colorado. It is also a great situation for Walters, who can learn the ropes of being an OC under a head coach who just got his gig due to his work in that same position at Oregon.

Our sources also tell us to expect more changes to Mike MacIntyre’s staff in the coming weeks. As always, we’ll have the news on BSNBuffs.com, stay tuned.
