The No. 21 Colorado Buffaloes were ‘upset’ by the USC Trojans on the road at LA Memorial Coliseum on Saturday. A defensive battle saw the Buffs forcing many turnovers, but they were not able to capitalize and USC won, 21-17.

First time the Buffs have trailed after the first quarter this season.

Kinney to punt again for the #cubuffs

Loss of 4 turned into a first down…can't miss those tackles

    — Jeremy Deischer (@roxbombers) October 8, 2016

    Yeah… well… *sigh*

    — Benjamin Burrows (@Rumblinbuffalo) October 8, 2016

Welp. Can Sefo flip the script from last year's game?

    — Patrick Ghidossi (@patrickghidossi) October 8, 2016

    He back, yall

    — Benjamin Burrows (@Rumblinbuffalo) October 8, 2016

    Here comes Sefo

    — Jake Shapiro (@Shapalicious) October 8, 2016

#CUBuffs are going to get shutout here in the first half.

    — Adam Munsterteiger (@adamcm777) October 8, 2016

Montez helmet on warming up, Sefo not warming off helmet off. Montez is back in to start the 2nd half.

So you got your momentum changing turnover and that's what you did with it. Cool.

    — Ted Chalfen (@TheGhostofMarv) October 8, 2016

That is absolutely, 100% the opposite of how you want to come out into the second half down 14…

    — Matt Sisneros (@Matt_Sisneros) October 8, 2016

You HAVE to score a touchdown here. You have to.

    — Matt Sisneros (@Matt_Sisneros) October 8, 2016

FOR THE LOVE OF TAD, GET SOMETHING ON THIS DRIVE

    — Benjamin Burrows (@Rumblinbuffalo) October 8, 2016

    BOOOOOOM

    — Mateo Martinez (@mateomuhammad) October 8, 2016

    BOBO CAN THROW?!!!

    — Brendan Mackey (@Bmackey34) October 8, 2016

Lefthanded toss from Bobo, love it

    — Benjamin Burrows (@Rumblinbuffalo) October 8, 2016

    Colorado's 67-yard TD pass? It's tricky.

    Tricky, tricky, tricky: https://t.co/Z5iPGVn9uU

The defense being played in this CU-USC game is the best I've seen this year at the college level

    — Brandon Spano (@BrandonSpano) October 8, 2016

Defense has been lights out since half.

    — Benjamin Burrows (@Rumblinbuffalo) October 8, 2016

Montez has a very bright future, but you've got to roll with Sefo Liufau the rest of this game IMO.

    — Adam Munsterteiger (@adamcm777) October 8, 2016

Adoree Jackson is a player. The guy is filthy.

    — Chase Cameron (@chasecameron_) October 8, 2016

So one of the following has to be true: They're trying to save Sefo for another week.
    Or
    Montez is QB1

    — Ted Chalfen (@TheGhostofMarv) October 8, 2016

What a pass from Montez. Wow. CU ties it up. Here we go.

    — Brandon Spano (@BrandonSpano) October 8, 2016

    Comeback szn

    — C-Unit (@CUnitHoops) October 8, 2016

Some of the plays that these USC kids have made today… I mean, they have some flat-out ATHLETES on that roster.

    — Brandon Spano (@BrandonSpano) October 8, 2016

Darnold to Petite for the 7-yard TD, and USC goes back on top, 21-14 with 8:26 to play. #cubuffs

    — Brian Howell (@BrianHowell33) October 8, 2016

    USC gets a first down.

    — Colorado Football (@RunRalphieRun) October 8, 2016

There's your ballgame. Being ranked was fun while it lasted.

    — Matt Sisneros (@Matt_Sisneros) October 8, 2016

That'll do it. Colorado clawed their way back, just couldn't do enough offensively.
