BOULDER - It was another sunny day at the University of Colorado women’s tennis complex, but the beautiful skies didn’t help the No. 47 ranked Buffaloes women’s tennis team end their losing streak, as they dropped their fourth straight, falling 7-0 to the No. 24 Arizona State Sun Devils, Sunday afternoon.
The loss drops CU’s record to 9-6 and 0-4 in the Pac-12, and haven’t won a home match since February 22, when they defeated then-No. 75 Kansas, 4-2. The win was ASU’s second win of the weekend as they shutout Utah, 7-0 on Friday, and return home on an eight-match winning streak.
“Overall the results this weekend wasn’t what we were looking for,” said CU coach Nicole Kenneally. “I think it’s just one of those things that we need to get ourselves healthy and put the work in on the practice courts. We played two very good teams this weekend. And we just have to put ourselves in the right position, and gain control of the things that we can control, so we can get out here and fight the way that we need to.”
