I'm not cool with the father part at all (Cody does seem like a really good kid), but I like that Scooter is supporting the Buffs - we need mainstream media guys to echo what we in-the-know fans are saying: that Hack is a $hit coach and really needs to be replaced.
Hastings clearly has never heard Cody interviewed. His coaching may be in question, but he raised a first-class kid.
If you are calling for Hawkins to be fired after 1 game into the season I seriously doubt you know much about little.
Hastings started off the show today by saying, 'Don't piss off a guy with thousands of watts and the internet behind him.'
this is why the Denver sports media is so bad. these guys actually think they are opinion leaders. that they create a following of people who assimilate their "opinions". look to Hastings or Mike Evans as someone to defer to when it comes to sports knowledge.
This isn't after 1 game. This is 4 seasons of medirocity. I hate to derail 4-5 years of what we've been building here and start over, but have you seen anything in the last 2 seasons that leads you to belive that Hawk is the answer at HC?
If you say yes, then I doubt you know much about little my good man.
I agree Mick, but except for the personal attack on Hawkins I couldn't agree more with what's being said today. I've been going to games for 20 years, and have never left Folsom at pissed as I was Sunday. Hawk earned the criticism he's getting right now.
4 seasons huh. I thought he has been here for 3 and has now played 1 game in season 4? He has been building this for 3.1 season, not 4-5 years.
Recruiting Darrel Scott- yep VERY VERY BAD.
Recruiting Ryan Miller - again what bad move
Bowl game in year 2 - what was he thinking.
Beating two top ranked teams at home - Yep that sucked.
Taking Georgia to the final bell on the road - dumb ass coach right there.
Get real and open you eyes. This is not the train wreck you want to believe it is. There have been some really bad loses along the way as well. Some that have pissed me off just as much as the next guy. But the overreaction is comical.
I love Monday morning coaches and QB's. They never cease to amaze me.

Darrel Scott - 1 carry 1 catch
Ryan Miller - 29 yards rushing
Bowl game - still a losing season
beating 2 top teams at home - your suppose to win at home.
Losing to Georgia
How about losing to Montana State? or the worst Texas A&M team in the last 20 years?
We seem to have a real problem developing our recruits. That is coaching period.
4 seasons huh. I thought he has been here for 3 and has now played 1 game in season 4? He has been building this for 3.1 season, not 4-5 years. I said 4-5 in terms of what we've invested in Hawkins. Clearly he won't be gone mid-season (barring a total melt down) so there will be a full 4 years, plus add the dud recruiting class that results from firing a coach and all of a sudden we're at 5 years before we start all over with a new coach.
Recruiting Darrel Scott- yep VERY VERY BAD. Great job, I've never knocked Hawkins' ability to recruit.
Recruiting Ryan Miller - again what bad move. See above.
Bowl game in year 2 - what was he thinking. And then flopped the next year.
Beating two top ranked teams at home - Yep that sucked. Yes, and then losing games to: Montana State, CSU (twice), Baylor, Kansas State (twice), Iowa State, Texas A&M was equally impressive. I’m also very happy that we’ve lost to Kansas and Missouri every year since Hawk has been here.
Taking Georgia to the final bell on the road - dumb ass coach right there. I was there. Were you? We almost won despite what was clearly aloof coaching. And the fact that Georgia's players and fans were more interested in seeing a live buffalo than the game. They told me as much after the game.
Get real and open you eyes. This is not the train wreck you want to believe it is. There have been some really bad loses along the way as well. Some that have pissed me off just as much as the next guy. But the overreaction is comical. I don't want this to be a train wreck. I spend big money every year to go see at least 1 away game. I get $hit on by my friends went go to SEC & ACC schools who know what real coaching is.
How is 13-25 not a train wreck? How did CSU, a MWC program, rebuild & make it to AND WIN a bowl game with less money and talent when we've been to just one and lost it in 3 seasons?
Are you happy with a completely mediocre team? I'm not. The complacency is comical.
I love Monday morning coaches and QB's. They never cease to amaze me.
Sure it is, but that is all anyone wants to acknowledge. I have not problem with criticizing this loss. But for everyone to act like there have been NO positives for this program over the last 3 years and to not see the improvement that has been made in CERTAIN areas, leads me to believe that you guys are looking for the negative rather than being objective.
For anyone to claim that we have made NO improvement THIS year after 1 game into the season is a joke. Let's be real. Lets talk at the end of the season if we saw improvement in this team compared to last year. Quite acting like season 4 is done and over with and evaluating the program as if this 1 game is the ENTIRE season.
Again. I get it. It's a bad loss. I agree it's a bad loss. I agree he has to do better. So let's see if he can get that done.
