BOULDER—Fresh off winning the program’s 20th National Championship, the Rocky Mountain Intercollegiate Ski Association named Bruce Cranmer the Nordic Coach of the Year and senior Rune Oedegaard the Men’s Nordic Athlete of the Year for the 2015 season.
Cranmer again led his Nordic squads to another outstanding season for the Buffaloes, as his men’s and women’s squads racked up more points than any other Nordic team in the RMISA regular season, at the RMISA Championships and the NCAA Championships, helping the Buffs to team victories in all three.
The Buffs were at their best at the end of the season, as five of the six skiers representing the Buffaloes at the NCAA Championship all earned two All-America honors. The men’s Nordic duo of Oedegaard and Mads Stroem finished 1-2 in nine of the 10 races leading up to the NCAA Championships and both took home two top five finishes there, integral in the Buffs run to the Championship.
