BOULDER – The University of Colorado soccer team played its longest match of the season on Friday and fell to the Kansas Jayhawks 2-1 in double overtime.

KU forward Ali Kimura recorded the assist when her right to left cross found Salazar who punched the ball in the right corner of the net.
“It’s disappointing to lose at home and lose in that fashion,” said CU head coach Danny Sanchez. “That’s the nature of the match. We didn’t do enough when it mattered and they scored a good goal. We left their best player alone and we can’t do that.”
