CU has rejoined the Big 12 and broken college football - talking out asses continues

It seems that CFB is going to go the Enterprise Business Model and not likely be a school operated function anymore in my opinion.
Boosters do not want to allow annoying elected Board members yank the football chain. Time to create a one time agreement that essentially says that the football team will renting your stadium and naming rights and will go do whatever the hell they want to.

Everyone getting their hopes up.

CU ain't getting an invite if Oregon doesn't.

I think Oregon and Washington are firmly the next two in line. I think both those schools are committed to their football programs and add to the pile. After those two/four I think you can make an argument for any out of the remaining 8 bar Oregon State and Washington State. Utah, Arizona, ASU, Cal, Stanford and CU all have pros and some fairly big cons with our pros being that we're in a fairly attractive and lucrative location you may not want to abandon completely and that we at least at one point showed that we can compete at the top of the game. I am just not sure how much that is worth in this round of realignment.

I’m honestly wondering if this is what those two boosters were referring to when they tweeted about us winning a national championship again. If we end up being part of this, I could definitely see why they might be thinking that.
$100 million if linked to the Big 10 TV deal at least keeps you 'alive.'

CU getting in over UW/UO would seem bizarre at best, but I'd take it I guess. Maybe with all of the added money and a conference trying to win we'd have to kick RG and crew to the curb

Then again RG is currently in charge so he's probably trying to finagle it so we wind up in a conference with MWC schools so we don't compromise our "values" or some ****

So, the Boosters essentially have/had no confidence in the structure and operation of the PAC 12 and thus we are sitting lifeless until a bigger move is made and then they are all in, or if it blows up, we just find a landing spot
Much as I'd love to blame someone, I really don't think the Pac12 is the root cause of our ineptitude.

I think you guys are vastly underestimating RG and his influence. If CU does get that invite to go with USC and UCLA, it will be because of him, not in spite of him. I still don’t know if I want that to happen or not. I really dislike what college football has become.

It's the choice between capitalism and socialism. And capitalism is what CFB has become.

I dislike what it's become too but would rather have them earning $100 million and seeing what that can get you (better assistant salaries, finish West stands at Folsom, renovate the Event Center)
