I'm not saying that we are going to win the conference or something crazy next year, I acknowledged that we lose a lot, even if Burks stays we lose a lot.
All I am saying is that I don't buy the predictions that we are going to fo sub-.500 or drop of the map again. We lose the guys mentioned but we aren't entirely devoid of talent. We get Carlon Brown off his RS year, he is already a proven scorer at a big-time level and all reports are that he will be a player. We get Harris-Trunks back so we have a legit center. This lets Dufault go to his natural PF position. Mills showed some flashes as well and with a year of development could be a contributor (even though I would like to see him RS.) Roberson will be a year older, more physically developed and could be a significant player (makes up for losing your leading rebounder, Roberson could become a game changer.) Sharpe was also showing real promise near the end of the season, again with an off-season of work he should be markedly better.
You can never count on true freshmen but we have also seen all over college basketball true freshmen coming in and contributing. With the talent of the incoming class this is a real posibility.
Again I am not saying that next years team will be a great team but with Boyles proven coaching ability and the talent we have coming back a return to the NIT should not be out of the question and if they stay healthy and some guys come through an at-large to the NCAA is not impossible, especially playing in a weaker league.
