AURORA - There is a light bruise on Kyle MacIntosh's left hand. It came from the dozens of family members and friends who have visited him at Children's Hospital over the past 10 days.
Many of them enter his room through the glass door in waves of four broken off from a much larger group 100 steps down the hall. As soon as the opportunity comes, they reach for that hand to let the University of Colorado sprinter and hurdler know they're present and pulling for him.
His family wrote a single word on top of the bruise as an explanation to future visitors of how it came to be there.
