BOULDER – University of Colorado head soccer coach Danny Sanchez announced the hiring of Dave Morgan as assistant coach on Monday. Morgan will also serve as the Buffaloes’ recruiting coordinator.
Morgan joins the Buffs’ staff after spending the last 13 seasons as an assistant with the Metro State Roadrunners women’s soccer team. His career at Metro State began in 2002, the same year Sanchez became Metro’s head coach. The duo spent six seasons together.
“We’re very excited that we’re able to add Dave to our staff,” said Sanchez. “I worked with Dave at Metro State. Dave’s experience running the ECNL program with the Colorado Storm and his connections, not only regionally, but nationally in the club soccer scene will be a big boost to our program. He has produced some of the country's top young talent and teams over the past 20 years. We’re excited to get to work and I know everyone involved with CU soccer will enjoy getting to know Dave.”
