Don't drag you alma mater through the mud anymore
I think the only way he does this is if he gets to replace Brown and try again next year. Then it'll be blatantly obvious to him that things aren't working. 80% through next year I can see him resigning because he just can't take it anymore.
I like you Embree, but it's time to admit that you are in way over your head. Please resign, it's best for the program and your reputation. Some things just don't work out.
Seems I suggested that he should quit last week, and most of you called me a classless jackass....which is true, but I stick to my suggestion.
Nobody is going to resign when they have a contract with money coming.
Boner should negotiate a settlement with him now....I would hope that Embree recognizes this death spiral, and is willing to walk away with half of what is owed to him
I honestly think Embree could be a good coach with better talent around him and coordinators who help with the game plan. He is a decent recruiter. He looks like a good motivator and discipline type. He along with Brown and EB are clearly clueless on the X's and O's stuff. I can't really judge his development ability because everyone is so dang young. I will cut him some slack for that. To many young kids on the field right now.
Are you serious? Open your eyes brother! Embree is LOST! The guy is in so far over his head he opens his mouth to ****. He's a joke. The Buffs are a joke. And I'm going to be sick.
There's nothing to even negotiate, just give him his $500k buy out and pat on the ass.
JE won't even bench Webb. I'm pretty sure that kind of Hawkinsesque stubbornness means no resignation in his future...
What's his message going to be to a recruits parents?
The team was really young.
He's not going anywhere until he gets paid...
Wouldn't hurt my feelings any, like the punting when we are getting killed. The team has quit and it's not a good idea to show them how.
InThe, resignation is COMPLETELY the wrong choice for EVERYONE. It still sends the clear signal to all future do-nothing, know-nothing coaches that they can sit in CU Football's well-paid seats and DO NOTHING while getting paid millions.
Only firing him sends the GOOD and different signal: "We will fire even Favorite Sons. Idiots and Do-Nothings need not apply."
Embree's future in football coaching is NEVER going to be helped by a "quitter at my own alma mater" label. FIRING him would him much more. That's the reality of college football - firing is NO disgrace.
Maybe With a question mark on the end.
If he came to see my kid and my kid had any other options????? Um, yeah, nice to meet you Mr Embree. Next.
