That was a Good call.... Special Teams were night and day over the last few years in the opening game.

I do what I can. Nik gets the HC fired, I just get ST cord fired.

My favorite part of special teams play yesterday was watching our kicker who has the strongest leg of all of them kicking off. Then 8 of 9 go for touchbacks and no crazy momentum swings from a big return. Oh and his lone **** up, he goes and makes the tackle.

It was a solid tackle too.

Two things: 1) last year Gonzales was coming off a lingering groin injury that affected the distance he could kick; and 2) that CSEwe return guy would/should not usually have returned a KO five yards deep to one side of the end zone, so he caught the STs being complacent, thinking they had another touchback.

I remember a couple of games at Folsom where you pulled out your phone to start a Fire Neinas thread. Haha

I think maybe Diego bailed out the KO coverage, which wasn't so good on the only return. Only complaint though, all other aspects looked great.

That's on him for not kicking it out of the back of the end zone.

His leg was tired. He's never had to do so many kickoffs in one game.

I hope he has to get used to it.
