    Hi guys,

Just wanted to give you the show rundown for tonight. It'll be Joe, myself and Jake Shapiro from BSNDenver. At 6:15, our taped interview with Rick George will air (we got a lot of allbuffs questions too, so thanks for that!), and then at 6:45, B.G. Brooks, contributing editor to CUBuffs.com will be joining us to talk some football and basketball.

The streaming link is here (http://radio1190.colorado.edu:8000/master.mp3), and we'll have the replay on soundcloud as soon as we get done with the show!

Let us know if there's anything you want to hear or anything you'd like to see from us in the future!

Tweet us at @a_g_haubner @shapalicious or @joeparris and you can email any of your questions or concerns to joe@radio1190.org.

    Enjoy the show!

    DBT's question.
Season tickets have the best prices.

RG really sounded frustrated about attendance and not being where the program should be in the win/loss column.

RG can't be that naive... You can stand outside the stadium on any game day and get decent seats for 1/3 the face value...

And that is 1/6 the true cost to season ticket holders.

If CU starts winning, it will be a benefit having season tickets because the conference games and select OOC games will be hot tickets. But right now, one can probably find tickets at face value. I long for the day I would be able to sell a USC ticket, for instance, for a couple hundred, haha. I think that day will come.

When I attend church, I make a contribution not because I have to, but because I want to.

Buying season football tickets is a little like that.

When you begin analyzing CU season tickets prices versus walk-up tickets as a cost maximizing excersize, then you are mixing consumerism with fandom.

Buying football season tickets are the table stakes for being a fan and booster of the program. Any ticket pricing premium and donation goes towards providing an opportunity for CU student athletes to compete at the highest level. CU will not dig out of the hole with declining season ticket holders.

One sign of a heathy program is the number of season ticket holders and donors.

The more you give, the more you get. At some level of generosity, you get a personal relationship with a member of the AD development office. This relationship includes special opportunities that don't come with walk-up tickets.

Over the years, I've been invited to stand on the sidelines at an away game, have been on the field at Folsom when Ralphie runs, have been given a tour of the new facilities, have met everyone from Benson to DiStephano to George to MacIntyre.

For season ticket holders and boosters, Rick George and his development team are doing a good job connecting and developing relationships across the country.

Similar to any congregation, the more you invest in the CU athletic department, the more rich and rewarding the CU experience will be.

It's important to invest in programs that you believe in. I'd hate to see any season ticket holder give up their relationship. This consumerism attitude is just another attribute of the large hole in which CU has been mired.

More bargain ticket shoppers just means a less realistic shot at turning any corners.

He really did...he was not as upbeat as he usually is...I wonder if Mac's leash is tighter than I think. If we don't go bowling, I wonder if RG would get more involved...especially when it comes to replacing some assistants.

thanks @Skidmark , that post works really well if you put "the battle hymn for the republic" on low volume in the background...

i don't disagree with any of your post, it is the basis for me continuing to buy mine. but...the question was intended to get his take on the value of the season ticket holder to the program, and how well they do at expressing some appreciation for that loyalty. personally i think they could improve on that.

So, does anyone have R.Georges email? Would love to tell him how much of a steal it has been having season tickets this last 10 years. I'm sure next weeks game is gonna be a hot ticket!
