    :rofl2::rofl2::rofl2:

Can these guys get out of their own way? Why in the hell would you even bother putting that in postgame notes? They actually took the time to count? Too funny.

I've got some real heartburn with this. I believe it misrepresents the intended statement of the blueshirts and furthermore delegitimizes the opinions of ticket-holding fans. Finally, it reeks of a counter-propoganda campaign, which makes me wonder how much fear is felt in the Athletic Department at the moment. It would have been best ignored, rather than targeted.

I'll compose a letter to the Sports Information Director tomorrow (by the way, Plati is the best in the business, but this is crap).

If they really wanted to get a number, all they had to do was put a guy/gal at each turnstile with a little clicker counter thing.

Or, as I said in my "free pr advice" thread, Hawkins could have addressed it by accepting the fan's concerns and pointing out the team's and coaches' efforts to turn the program around.
Dismissing or attempting to diminish the "protest in blue" is NOT going to turn out well.

Bingo. In an unintended way, they basically legitimized the "blue out" by going out of their way to blast it. Just plain stupid.

Plati is an annoying, fat dimwit. In the last "issue" of Platitudes he went out of his way to explain why he was right on some scorer issue during a Rockies game. Then he said "As usual, those that whined the loudest about it have never had to sit in that chair and make a ruling ..." Sounds familiar.

    Bull****.

There were way more than 200 there at kickoff in blue. By the time the student section filledin around halftime, we're probably talking 10 times that number. But I'm glad to know things are going so well at the CU ad these days that they feel they can belittle their fanbase, or even imply they aren't true fans at all.

Note to all these guys - your fans are.having a much better ****ing season than your staff is.

I think the CUAD should just automatically count on the blue shirts coming out when CU enters November with 2 wins or less. Less drama.

Plus the coaches can have a built in motivation speach, "you don't want those ***** fans to be wearning blue..."

Although I was impressed with the turnout yesterday, there were definately more empty seats than there were fans in blue. Anybody count empty seats?

Contributing factors: 1) Excellent Weather. 2) Discounted ticket pricing. 3) A shewd marketing capaign from a student leader that helped promote the game.

Bohn ought to be buying 87 lunch.

I predict more fans in blue for the Nebraska game. The Buffs should be 3-8 by that time.

The whole us vs. them mentality is not good for anyone. I don't care the outcome of the game, if the team/coaches are in a siege mentality nothing good will come of it. I've said this before, it's the exact same prattle that Mallory (and team) spewed before he was shown the door. FYI our next head coach was Fairbanks.

the whole athletic department is a joke right now. i wonder if they will be begging us to increase our donations again this offseason after telling us we are the enemy and that we don't deserve success because we don't donate enough all season

They should embrace those fans and sell blue shirts to support the program. Something with a slogan to turn it into something they can live with, like "Feeling blue, but my heart is true. GO BUFFS!!"

According to CUBUFFS yesterday there were 6000 some seats available. That was fewer than the 8000 claimed for last week, but on TV it looked like more empty seats yesterday to me. Perhaps people still buy tickets, but don't bother to go? Or, you can't tell from TV. I have news for the athletic department. Fans who wear blue and attend the game are "better fans" than those of us who stay home.

I don't know exactly what an SID does, but he does get credited often by the media as a good one. So be it. I'm glad we have a good one. I just personally dislike him. And he is obviously a liar with this drivel about 200 fans in blue.
