So, the Buff women close out their regular season with a tough challenge, playing a #10 ranked and Pac 12 2nd place Arizona State team on their senior day in Tempe. However, the Buffs played the Sun Devils tough in Boulder late January, losing by only 8 after being within 3 with ~2 minutes to go, so they have already showed they can easily play with (and therefore possibly beat) ASU.

A little bit about the Sun Devils from that preview:

    ...
Arizona State is 25-4 overall and second in the Pac-12 at 14-3. The Sun Devils are ranked No. 10 in both the Associated Press and USA Today Sports Coaches Polls. ...

Arizona State won its fourth straight by defeating Utah 46-42 Friday night. The Sun Devils average 68.7 points on 44.1 percent shooting. Arizona State leads the Pac-12 in 3-point defense (.245) while ranking second in scoring margin (+12.6) and scoring defense (56.1 ppg).

Junior guard Katie Hempen leads the Sun Devils at 11.9 points per game. She ranks fourth in the Pac-12 in 3-pointers made with 63. Sophomore forward Sophie Brunner is right behind Hempen at 11.7 points an outing and tops the Sun Devils in rebounding (7.6 rpg) and field goal percentage (.545). Senior guard Promise Amukamara averages 10.9 points per game and leads ASU in steals with 50. Junior guard Elisha Davis leads Arizona State and ranks third in the Pac-12 in assists at 4.6 per game.

Down 22-21 at the half. Not a lot of scoring, but buffs gotta feel good

To have a shot at a victory CU will have to be very disciplined in the second half. They have had a lot of game this season where they keep it close against a solid opponent but have a period of time where they fall apart and take themselves out of the game.

Too true. Was kind of expecting collapse at the end of the az game. Within 1 without Reese or swan being a factor is impressive though.

Yes! You would think that both would be critical to the Buffs' chances - so to be in the game without big contributions from both is nice. Now, CU must cut down on the TOs - 10 in the first half - as part of the formula.

At AZ, I think CU had mental toughness that AZ just doesn't seem to have. ASU is another story.

Asu shooting better this half. Buffs down 8, going to the line after the timeout, 6:30 to go. We're scoring, but can't get stops right now

    So, final is 59-46 ASU.

Shake it off Buffs and get ready for the tournament.

This team has been so close. Tied with Pac 12 champ osu at the half last week, down 1 at 2nd place asu this week. Sad to see the 2nd halves go astray

Again, too many turnovers. For a change, they didn't shoot free throws well.
