Alright fellow Buffs, lets put a moratorium on the recruiting issues for 24 hours and focus on our matchup tonight. We have an amazing opportunity to show we are still a contender against the top team in the country. My prediction, Buffs play with nothing to lose and Ski catches fire while the Cats are tight (they never play well against us), Buffs 73- 'Cats- 65 .

P.S. Never Forget...

Forget it. The buzzer was made right valentines day.

The V-Day massacre was a cathartic experience for sure, but for me, walking off their home floor tonight knowing that we tore the #1 ranking away from them...that would be justice.

I want this win. Bad. It is more than the Chen thing though. I want to tear that #1 away from them. I want CU to be the source of their only blemishes this year. I want to solidify that growing rivalry between us and the kittens.

Anyone else terrified that we are going to see the usual road ski?

I know two games is an extremely small sample size, but Ski has looked like a PG this past week. Efficient, willing to pass, willing to shoot when necessary. I see no reason why he would regress. If the game gets out of hand, then I can Ski push it, but by then it wouldn't really matter anyway.

there is no doubt he played amazing last week, I just wish he had that kind of history on the road.

I went back and looked at his games against Arizona (home, away and neutral) and his stats lines aren't pretty.

Different situations entirely. He wasn't counted on as being "The Guy". Obviously with ski, there is always room for concern, but I think he surprises even himself tonight.

Ski has stepped into the leadership role better than expected thus far. I expect Tad to lean on the underdog/disprespect card tonight and have the team ready to go and playing with nothing to lose. My opinion is the first 8-10 minutes is critical in this game. If the Buffs can come out and hit some open threes and get transition buckets, while taking away space on the defensive end, I like our chances.

Buffs need to come out playing fast and aggressive on offense, and disciplined on defense. UofA likes the alley oop, so we need to be looking to intercept those passes like we did against USC and/or holding our position on the baseline.

Sports Center is going to be playing up that shot all day long. Don't turn on ESPN if you can help it.

This is the team's chance to show the nation what they can do moving forward from some key injuries. This is Tad's chance to show the same for him as a coach.

REBOUNDING

Go Buffs...play loose yet hard!

Disagree it is pretty much exactly what we should have expected from Ski. He'll likely shoot more tonight and be less efficient than he has been in an attempt to keep us in the game unless Jhop and XJ go off.

It is what we should have expected, unfortunately many of us around here did not. I wish we were playing UofA next week. The team would be a lot more settled... Hoping that the stage allows for them to step up and meet this challenge.

See! I told everyone that legalizing pot was a bad idea!

I'm sure they'll do a flashback and it will be magnified if the game comes down to the buzzer, but it will have to be a really slow news days for it to a be a big deal. There's a small football game in a week-and-a-half that some people in the state of CO might be interested in.

Cannot wait to see this team come out and play tonight. I think we are going to see Jelly and Wes give the Cats a fight like they have not seen around the rim. Ski is going to have to continue to play within they system and JHop will need to continue to grow by leaps and bounds. Do we win, probably not but I do think this team will come to play and give AZ their toughest game of the year.

With the way the P12 schedule is set up, I have a hard time seeing them allowing Spencer on road trips other than maybe the Utah game.

Not sure I follow - I would imagine that only his immediate recovery from surgery would prevent him from traveling - not the scheduling. You think he would not be excused from class?

doesn't sound like spencer made the trip - team flew in last night on a charter (they are on charters the rest of the year)
