I think this was the last time gameday was in Boulder, what a background! Sad we aren't even considered for it anymore.
i've never seen that location used before. out by Baseline and 36? with the camera angle shot away from campus (more or less) and toward the Flats. for last year's CU-NU game they did the pregame blurb from on top of the west side of Folsom....it was a pretty spectacular view Norlin, Norlin quad and Old Main in the background with the Mountains ever further back. but, i'd never seen that used before or if they did i was at the game. it was pretty sweet.

isn't that location on the plaza at the west entrance to the foam dome?
Got to win. Then they'll come.
Not this year, because we don't have a nationally interesting home game except Georgia and that's too early in the season for CU to be on the national radar (unless, maybe, we blew out Cal on our way to 3-0). But a good season likely gets them to Boulder for 2011 and the first year in the Pac 12.

i think that was right where the practice facility is going
I think you are really optimistic...Gameday tries to go to a "suitably important game" plus it has a decidedly east coast bias partly because of the 7 AM start time on the West Coast. Unless CU has a major turnaround and develops some quick and significant rivalries, it may be another 15 years before you see ESPN Gameday at Folsom.
I'm new here, finally found this place... Gameday will show up again -- once our team plays a game that is nationally relevant (if we are contending in our conference), or possibly when we make the Pac move.
Speaking of Gameday, I thought I would share this sign I had in the background of the gameday set in Austin last fall (Texas vs Tech game). Fowler made a comment on the giant CU Flag on the back of the sign during the commercials right before the show started.

Welcome and since no one has said it yet... Damn noob, get me a sammich! Extra Bacon!!
so we got blown out that game but we did go 10-2 with a win over Oregon. Not bad.
We went 10-2 the next season also. Its nice to be reminded of the success our program had at one point.
95 is the game where Ahman Green or Frasier goes virtually untouched for a 70 yard TD on the opening play of the game?\
I will agree 95 Bugeater is the best team i've ever seen as well. maybe most dominant ever in the modern frame, not counting a Bama or OU team that was rolling Army bases and High schools 66-3 in 1951 and such.

starting in '89 with the screen pass on the first play by knu and lasting for about 8 of the next nine years or so, knu would score on thier first play from scrimmage in boulder and every game in lincoln would have a CU pass tipped and returned for a TD. it was incredible.
No wonder they haven't come back.correct. I was at that gameday as well as the A&M one. Had front row at the A&M gameday and was on tv numerous times.

"This Colorado team has as many weapons as the Florida state team that beat us four straight times." -Charlie McBride about 95 CU team
Oh man I miss these days, our talent was considered among the best in the country!
