What a rollercoaster ride this guy has been on the last few weeks. Glad whatever it was (sounded pretty serious) has been cleared up... at least I hope to god it has been.

So what, Miller might not start? He might move to LG? I am confused as hell. Even LESS continuity...

    Scott Tidbit...
Definitely confusing here... So bad he had to miss a game, but now he's great less than 3 days later? I smell fish.

    Confused me too.

Most important thing is that Bryce is back. Good for him and good for the program.

Regarding the guard situation, Miller has to start. Maybe they plan on mixing him in at LG a bit to see how it goes with him and Solder on the same side. Max is coming back soon and I think he's more comfortable on the right side.

:yeahthat: However, this sort of thing has a tendency to resurface... Hope we just win every game from here on out and no more issues. . I do hope max is back soon, our G situation is terrible.

How can Miller not start? He is still only technically a sophomore and we really need him to get more experience so we can count on him to be the beast he has the potential to be in his junior and senior seasons. He must play every snap, IMO.

It probably is just me but I always thought the Oline took a lot of coordination to function as a unit. Making a lot of changes hinders that coordination.

Plus I always thought that Miller was a natural tackle.

As much as has been said about getting our best individual players on the field, the offensive line is less about individual performance and more about performance as a unit. The offensive line can almost be considered one player as a whole. A cohesive offensive line will always be better than 5 random offensive linemen put together on a game by game basis.

I wish they'd just pick a line and go with it, let these guys get time together, to grow as a unit. You need to know what the guy next to you is going to do in certain situations.

Agreed. Miller played just fine at tackle. This shuffling along the line is disturbing.

If Miller ends up back at RG, isn't that exactly what they're doing -- going back to the lineup they used for all of fall camp and the first two games?

Don't know if that's what they're doing, but it would make the most sense.

maybe they will move miller to center.

they've had him all over the line already. iltis is dinged up.

i am not commenting on the quality of the idea... just throwing it out there.

Could you imagine a big athlete like Miller at fullback?

It is if that's what they do.

I don't have much faith that that's what's going to happen based on the recent quotes coming from Denver Johnson and Kiesau though.

I actually wouldn't mind one of these guys as a blocking TE every few plays. And maybe throw in a reception once in awhile.

They want to move people around and get some fresh faces in there for competition? JFC, it's week 4 and these guys are playing musical OL. Yeah, that will get this offense rolling ,great continuity up front. :wow: This coaching staff is bizarre.

Solder moves pretty well for a LT, lets try him at TE?

And if this coaching staff is around next year, we'll hear about how few combined starts the OL has going into 2010. Just settle on five guys and let them build some confidence.

no no no, what we need are some fresh faces to get the competition going. Just wait, next year Harris will replace Givens (or Solder?), Miller will be at Center, and Bakhtari will take over at a guard while one of the true frosh replace MTM at RT...

Hey coach, Miller is far and away the most highly recruited player on the CU offensive line. So where are you going to play him this week?

    "We'll see"

Coach, any chance we'll get the same starting five out there from one week to the next?

    "We'll see"

Dude can do it all day long if you want him to. He's a machine.
