BOULDER– University of Colorado head soccer coach Danny Sanchez announced the promotion of Jason Green to associate head coach on Monday.
“I have known Jason since he played youth soccer and then college soccer for me,” said Sanchez. “Our time coaching together at Mesa CC, Wyoming and Colorado has been special. Jason is a tremendous coach and has a great soccer mind. He is passionate about our student-athletes, university and soccer program. Jason buys into our culture of work ethic, loyalty and the vision. He is very deserving of this promotion and we are excited for the future of Colorado soccer.”
Green is in his fourth season with the Buffaloes and will continue to serve as the goalkeeper director.
"What an honor to be named associate head coach for CU soccer,” Green said. “I wouldn’t be where I am now without Danny. As a coach, a mentor and most importantly a friend, he has given me so much that I can’t put into words my appreciation.”
