Is this a done deal or a suggestion? He has a strong leg. He did kick in high school. Why not see if he can put the ball into the end zone on kickoffs?

Has it been Oliver or Darragh who have been getting shots at kicking it off and going way short?I hope this happens he definitely has a strong leg. But Im curious about why he hasn't gotten a chance in a game yet. I would hope if he was showing he could do this Embree would give him a chance.
Not Darragh haha he sucks at kickoffsHas it been Oliver or Darragh who have been getting shots at kicking it off and going way short?
Jesus. Can we just have Castor kick down the middle? Would he not **** that up?Not Darragh haha he sucks at kickoffs
To be fair to Darragh, I believe he's been told to pick guys out on the rugby punt, and that is what he has done. That is ****ing hard. Too bad the other guys haven't been told or failed to look for it (thanks Makiri). That might be telling him to rugby style punt it but he's gotta execute it better than that. Wouldnt hurt to get the ball higher than 5 ft off the ground rugby style or not. I agree on kickoffs, they are a big problem. Also, Darragh needs to get the ball off quicker.

My theory is that they keep telling Castor to angle his kicks. He ****s that up. Perhaps he wouldn't **** it up if he was told to kick straight? Also, Oliver has ****ed up the angled kicks as well. And when he straight kicks it, Ohio State returns it 95 yards cause he doesn't have the leg. So, Its either Castor or Nickle at this point.I could be wrong, but I think both Castor and Oliver have put the ball out of bounds on kickoffs at one point or another this year. Thus my suggestion about Grossnickel.
It really hurts momentum when you kickoff and the opponent ends up with the ball at the 35 or better.
This should be coachable I'm sure they are working at it.I thought his problem was he couldn't get any elevation on his kickoff's?
Still dont understand why he didn't go after that! But that is one of the advantages of the rugby and why they have him keep it as low as possible. To be fair to Darragh, I believe he's been told to pick guys out on the rugby punt, and that is what he has done. That is ****ing hard. Too bad the other guys haven't been told or failed to look for it (thanks Makiri).
So he was picking someone out to kick at like an onside? I thought he just caught it bad off his foot. In that case, it worked and the only one that reacted was the OSU player. No wonder Darragh was pissed after, maybe if I wasnt drunk id have noticed that lol.To be fair to Darragh, I believe he's been told to pick guys out on the rugby punt, and that is what he has done. It was mentioned, yes. Castor has yet to be seen since.anybody see Ryan Deehan (i believe) lay into castor/push him after his kickoff out of bounds?

Kickoffs are a much bigger problem right now, IMO.
