Getting Leach fired and ESPN standing by his side while pumping SMU for the Big 12...you get the picture.

There are not a lot of people for whom I genuinely wish horrible things to happen to. Craig James is one of them. He takes douchebaggery to a level that I never could have imagined.

"Mandel: Craig James and Jesse Palmer. James' glaring conflict of interest (more on that later) aside, it's still two ex-jocks glad-handing each other and spewing clichés for three-and-a-half hours. I feel bad for Rece Davis, a true pro, who spends Thursday nights wedged between those two and Saturdays moderating the Mark May-Lou Holtz circus act."

wow. SI believes they're big enough to take on espin? This could get intriguing.

I happen to know for a fact that SI locks copy editors in a closet.

    This will not end well.

SI has been ascendant since pRick left. Likewise, ESPN has been in a downward spiral.

I wish TimeWarner would form an SI sports network. With its CNN and other cable holdings, it has the muscle to make it work. Maybe just convert TNT, which does a great job with the NBA.

They like Mouseboogers waaay too much (although there is a link to a funny drinking game). For me, Brent and Kirk doing a game means that I either skip a game I would otherwise have watched or kill the tv sound and try to find it on the radio or listen to music during the broadcast.

I dunno. Back in '94 he pushed The Buffs on Gameday as one of THE BEST teams in the country over and over and over. Even after they lost to Nebraska he was still pretty high on CU.

    I has respect for dat!

Are you serious. I posted this in a thread about Craig James I repeat Craig James who by the way is an ESPN commentator and the game today is on ABC/ESPN, hmmm. If the Hawk was calling the game then why would I post that in a thread about again Craig James. It was a rhetorical question, the answer was supposed to be obvious.

CJ obviously does stupid **** and deserves to be ripped for it. Being around him personally quite a bit, he isnt the sharpest knife in the drawer. I'll leave it at that. He does often say good things about the Buffs. I heard him talking the other day about what a great move it was to the Pac 12.

You failed to mention who was doing play-by-play and made me look for it. Disappointingly, it's Mike Patrick, with his little coffee stained tic tac teeth and general vocal inflection of being the remedial, surprised fan. I wanted Mus.

Anyone else notice they got 5 downs on that series? First down sack, second down incomplete which was reviewed. They come back from the review and it's 2nd and 16. Two more incompletes, then a FG. Not that it mattered, just noticed it.
