AT A GLANCE

2010: 5-7, 2-6 Big 12 (5th, North)

COACH: Jon Embree – At Colorado and overall: 1st year

RETURNING STARTERS: 15; 8 offense, 6 defense, punter

PLAYERS TO WATCH: QB Tyler Hansen, RB Rodney Stewart, WR Paul Richardson, WR Toney Clemons, TE Ryan Deehan, LB Jon Major, DE Chidera Uzo-Diribe, S Anthony Perkins

PRIMARY STRENGTHS: There is a lot of experience returning among the starters and a few key backups. Hansen, a playmaker at QB, is surrounded by plenty of capable teammates, including Stewart, who has a chance to become the program’s all-time leading rusher.

POTENTIAL PROBLEMS: A roster primarily built to play one style of football will be asked to tackle a more physical style, with an emphasis on a strong running game and stopping the run. There are plenty of chances for true freshmen to play, coaches have suggested, and a rash of injuries could make this team young in a hurry.

KEY LOSSES: WR Scotty McKnight, OL Nate Solder, DE Marquez Herrod, LB B.J. Beatty, CB Jimmy Smith, CB Jalil Brown

Did the folks at Lindy's know what style of play these guys were recruited for? Because I swear I have no idea how to define our offensive system the past 5 years. Defensively, we haven't actually changed much.
