Sounds like Texas has Pac-envy. Sad to see the "high and mighty" Texas crowd reduced to bitterness. Their invite might still come, so they should just STFU for now.

He thinks the fact that CU's football program lost six scholarships for having possibly the worst grades in the nation is a sign of how much potential the school has for academic growth. The Big 12 will remember Colorado for its football scandal in 2002 and the fact that it canceled most of its sports because of poor weather and apathy from an alumni base that was more focused on hiking

He might be right, how many times have I seen posts here on why CU does not sell out home games? And can you compete in the Pac12(16) if you cannot get the kids a degree in the Big12.

Just one question...why are you still here? Go search out Minnesota's message board.

This issue happened as a result of things that happened several years ago. They've been dealt with, the penalties have already been served... nothing to see here anymore.

Scotchy after all this time, I am amazed that I must point out to you that "informed" and "Husker" do not belong in the same sentence. :)

Great. Love to have you. Not sure why you have any interest, or time, to share your views with us. But more power to you.

I am just so thankful that the world's largest baptist university keeps churning out so many fine christian conservatives. Such humble, gracious, non-judgmental folks. And they'd never violate their principles by wanting a big government to step in and protect them from fair competition or ask that someone else should suffer so that they can get something they did not earn. It's going to be such a shame we won't share a conference with them any more, but I will pray for them to land on their feet.

    Yours in Christ,
    Buffnik

At this point, it's all jealousy. I've had more than one person tell me "well, you're gonna get killed in the Pac 10, just like you did in the Big 12".

That's not really the issue, though, is it? I've never heard one person say that this move will result in more wins for the football team. NOT ONE. It's not like Hawkins is going to magically figure out how to scout an opponent now that he's coaching in the Pac 10. In any event, Hawkins will be long gone before we play our first Pac 10 game, so the entire point is moot. Trying to explain to somebody that the APR penalty was expected two years ago, and the penalty was assessed LAST YEAR, seems to garner blank stares... "huh?"

So it's now a jealousy thing. That's the only explanation that makes sense.

I think there is a chance Hawk can turn this around with the new jumpstart, slim chance, but I think he could.

Hope we have good reason to continue the hate in the future....some OOC games would be great.

Right now, I kind of feel a strange bond with the Nubs since we both have lead to the demise of the Big XII and Texass's reign. I am sure we both will rejoince when they return to their rightful place of irrelevance of the 80's and 90's as the tide turns...it all goes in cycles.

Now for the Nubs...good luck recruiting in the rust belt!
