So last night I'm driving a guy to the men's lacrosse game at Kittridge. I'm thinking he'll be one of a dozen or so folks who have a close interest in the team or know the players personally. This guy apparently played on the team.
I turn the corner and see what has to be at least 1,500 people set up on bleachers and standing room only along the entire length of the field. All this for a club team. Amazing.
The result of this is that my thoughts on what should be the next men's D-1 sport have changed. Forget baseball. Forget hockey. We need a D-1 Men's lacrosse program. There's already a devoted fanbase.
