FORT COLLINS, Colo.- University of Colorado senior Joe Morris clocked times today in the 100 and 200 meter events that now rank him first in the Pac-12 for the 2013 outdoor season.

Morris finished second in the 100 meter dash with a time of 10.09, and second in the 200 meter dash with a time of 20.45. Both of these personal best move him up in National rankings fourth and third respectively as well as in the CU record books, second in both events.

Redshirt junior Brock Emory also ran personal bests in a pair of events. He finished 12[SUP]th[/SUP] in the 110 meter hurdles, with a time of 14.77 and also ran a PR in the 100 meter dash finishing in 11.15.

In the 400 meter dash Shaw Gifford finished first overall with a time of 49.24 and teammate Blake Berens finished third with a time of 50.11.

In the women’s events, Kelsey English placed first in the high jump with a personal best height of 5-10.75 which moved her into fourth on CU's all-time performers list. Emily Hunsucker won the hammer throw with a toss of 198-00, her fifth win of the year.

Four CU women throwers also earned personal records in shot put. Abrianna Torres placed sixth overall with a mark of 43-02.50. Genny Mayden placed eight with a throw of 39-11.25, Kajsa Bank right behind her in ninth place (38-11.5) and Holly Odneal in 10[SUP]th[/SUP] (38-08.25).

CU will be back in action Friday May 3[SUP]rd[/SUP], at the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs for the Air Force Twilight.
