Official ****braska Hate Thread

Hate to be the bearer of bad news here, but the Husker faithful has already determined that Raiola has "Pat Mahomes" vibes.

Is it too late to call the Manager of OOC Scheduling?
Patrick Mahomes and Texas Tech were still 4-8 and 7-6 in Mahomes first year and a half
The QB alone does not win it all when he is a Freshman/Rookie
Let him play, his eyes will not understand what is happening with Travis and the backfield

Just no. Go back and look at what past teammates and coaches have said about him. He's a head case that doesn't compete well under any sort of pressure. I also think his throws are that great, but too many casuals on social media have anointed him some sort of can't miss over the last two years. He'll be better than what they've had recently, but he ain't HIM.

I posted 4 months ago that I bet they have more than one QB play significant time this season and I'm sticking to that.

I'm trying to remember the photos I saw during his recruitment, but if I'm not mistaken, he had a Mahomes-esque haircut.

I wonder defense they were playing against. Honestly, I hope it was their first.
They had super weak coverage all over the field, so many were wide open easy throws
He has the look and the skills, but expecting him to be great against us in game 2 and against the new look B1G 10, so I am not sure if he even starts, versus Haarburg

They got some better guys, and they said something about how Nebraska did not lose a single player to the Portal? Is that true?

Counterpoint.

I've been saying it for months and I'll keep on saying it. He's a decent QB, but certainly not #1 in the country and absolutely not worthy of all the hype he's gotten. Past coaches, past teammates and folks who really know the position are not sold on the kid.
And one more time for the cheap seats: Other QBs not named Riola will get significant PT for them next season.

Is this before or after the CU game…or during the game?

I am hoping for another Nebraska heart-rip turnover specialist. Just when they had the game in the bag, a key turnover silences 80K+* nub fans, as the Buffs seal the win

Although a Buff blowout where they have to sit there for 3 hours watching their team get taken to the woodshed and leaving them with no excuses would be more than acceptable.

Especially in Lincoln! Though, being there in 2018, after they thought Frosty was the answer for much of the game. Lots of belly shaking laughing. Then with about a minute and a half left…stone faced, silent, surrender cobra.
