It is not talking down so much as stating the obvious: there is no substitute for game action. When a game is out of hand, you have to make the most of it to develop backups. Lytle has like five snaps through six games. Do you think that helps his development much?
Again, my main point was that I don’t agree with pulling him in the beginning of the third quarter when we could still conceivably come back however unlikely. But now 45-3 in the 4th, sure why not.
 
We’ve watched the guy for years. We know what we have in Montez. We didn’t need him to throw more INTs to see the writing on the wall.
Fine, and I agree that Montez is who he is. But I still think he gives us the best chance of winning six games so I think you stick with him until the game is 100% out of reach.

He helped put the game out of reach. We didn’t need another INT to make it a no hoper.
 
Mangham running hard.
Played Smith before Mangham tonight.

I like Smith but Mangham was the clear #2 guy before tonight and he has looked good.

Wonder if this wasn't a message from MT to some guys about effort and improvement..
