Other games weekend of 10/20-10/22

Houston trails 21-0 to SMU. Houston has looked like **** the last few weeks. Good for our ranking if they lose. They would plummet from 11

Exposed as fake.

MacIntyre > Herman.

Definitely struggling. Lost to Navy (decent side, but top 10 sides don't lose to Navy usually), then needed last second heroics to best Tulsa 38-31 last week, now getting drubbed 28-7 by 2-4 SMU. They have no business being ranked 11th. If they lose this, CU should absolutely be ranked ahead of them. Since they aren't in the SEC, they'd presumably drop more than like 4 spots.

Your anti-SEC bias aside, the G5 teams don't have much room for error. In fairness to Houston, Tulsa's only other loss was to Ohio State. But there's no excusing this performance against SMU tonight, SMU is not a very good team. If Houston loses this game they should drop to somewhere in the 20's if not out of the rankings completely.

On a side note, this could hurt Louisville to some extent since Houston is the only good team left on their schedule. But if Clemson goes undefeated and wins the ACC Championship then Louisville will still have a good shot at getting into the playoff.

I have very little against the SEC compared to most on here, but 3-3 Ole Miss being ranked at our expense has ticked me off

I'd like to see the vote distribution on that one.

Don't have the time to look at each ballot, but of the 62 voters, 20 come from SEC states. You can potentially take down a couple as more Big XII oriented based on the Texas cities they're in, but there are at least 18 representing the heart of the SEC. Not to mention those in nearby states like North Carolina and Virginia that get their heavy share of SEC influence. Pac12? 9, plus a couple others from states like New Mexico, Nevada, Wyoming arguably within our footprint.

Who do we want here wazzu or ASU? Against ASU for the pac 12 South or ASU for Pac 12 bowl position (wazzu in a comparable position to CU)

Michigan State is hot garbage this year, along with about 3/4 of that conference. Loss tonight to Maryland (trail 21-17 in the 4th) and they are all but out of bowl contention aside from that joke 5-7 rule.

Houston will not be ranked tomorrow. More opportunity for CU.

Now we need TTU to find a way to steal a win against Oklahoma to knock them out too.
