With the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships just completed within the last week, the track and field teams IMMEDIATELY switch to outdoor mode, with the 1st meet of the season (one of only two home meets this season - the Quiller Classic) scheduled for this Friday and Saturday.

Best wishes to the men's and women's teams - hope they all stay healthy, run faster, jump longer and/ or higher and throw farther throughout the season!

As with the other "individual" sports, I plan on us using this thread to collect / report the results for and news regarding the team during the regular season, and then setting up individual Championships threads once the post-season begins (starting with the Pac 12 Championships scheduled to begin May 14th in Eugene).
(Especially since they aren't listed yet in the schedule below, wanted to mention the NCAA Championships are scheduled to be held Wednesday, June 8th -Saturday, June 11, also in Eugene. Prior to those, of course, athletes (other than multi-eventers) need to qualify at the West preliminaries. Those are scheduled this year in the "western" state of (Fayetteville) Arkansas from May 25-28 .)

Full Schedule (From cubuffs.com; as of 3/14/22.)
(Note- I'd say compared to ANY other Buff sport, the track and field teams' schedules are the most fluid, with it being common for meets in which the Buffs plan to compete in being added and dropped from the schedule as the season unfolds.):

(Note- I just largely copied the below about qualifying for NCAA preliminaries from what I wrote/ quoted in 2019's outdoor T&F thread, with the main changes being updating the links to season's best to the current year's results.)

2021/22 Pre-Championships Manual - https://ncaaorg.s3.amazonaws.com/ch...oortf/2021-22D1XTO_PreChampionshipsManual.pdf

Edit- Wanted to add links to the official webpages where outdoor season bests are kept. This is important because, as from what I've read (see http://www.ustfccca.org/meets-results/ncaa-championship-qualifying-criteria#d1OTF or https://www.ncaa.com/championships/trackfield-outdoor/d1/road-to-the-championships for the full qualifying procedures.) -
  • For multi-event athletes, the top 24 marks in the country by a designated date (usually right after conference championships complete for all the teams) for each gender get to go to the NCAA championships and
  • For all other individual events, the top 48 marks, distances or heights in each preliminary region (west and east) by athletes who accept entry for each event by a designated date (usually right after conference championships complete for all the teams) get to go to the NCAA preliminaries to try and qualify for the championships.
  • For the 4X100M and 4X400 meter relays, it's the Top 24 times who accept entry in each of the 2 regions that qualify for the preliminaries.
Links are-
For multi-events (National bests; since there are no multi-event marks yet as I type this in mid-March, the links are to the generic lists for all events for each gender as of now.) -
Men's Decathlon -
Women's Heptathlon - https://www.tfrrs.org/lists/3711/20...tdoor_Qualifying_List/2022/o?gender=f#event40

For other events (West region bests) -
Men's - https://www.tfrrs.org/lists/3713/2022_NCAA_Div._I_West_Outdoor_Qualifying/2022/o?gender=m

Women's - https://www.tfrrs.org/lists/3713/2022_NCAA_Div._I_West_Outdoor_Qualifying/2022/o?gender=f

Both genders events listed/ combined - https://www.tfrrs.org/lists/3713/2022_NCAA_Div._I_West_Outdoor_Qualifying/2022/o

(As I pasted this edit March 14th, 2022, the season is still very young as to athletes working towards their best marks, so it's often more helpful to look at LAST season's marks to get a ROUGH idea of what marks MIGHT be needed to qualify for regionals. 2021's marks for Western men can be found at https://www.tfrrs.org/lists/3193/2021_NCAA_Division_I_West_Outdoor_Qualifying/2021/o?gender=m, while the women's is at https://www.tfrrs.org/lists/3193/2021_NCAA_Division_I_West_Outdoor_Qualifying/2021/o?gender=f .)

Further note- The NCAA also allows a couple type of conversions be used to calculate the top marks-
  • For a few distances on the track, marks in NCAA non-standard races are converted up or down to be used for qualifying purposes. (For example- times in mile races outdoor can be converted to 1500M times.) The conversion factors for this are at http://www.ncaa.org/sites/default/files/NCAA_Track_Event_Conversions.pdf .
  • Also, the NCAA has a SEPARATE APP (see http://www.ustfccca.org/meets-results/ncaa-championship-qualifying-criteria#d1OTF for the link) that converts all track times for events competed at altitude to official "sea level" times. (It's the converted times that show up in the above linked-to tfrrs.org top marks lists.) In general, middle distance (800M) and longer races run at altitude calculate to FASTER "sea level" times, while shorter races (400M and less) at altitude calculate to SLOWER times at sea level.

BOULDER – With the indoor season in the books, the University of Colorado track and field program opens up the 2022 outdoor season at home for the 2022 Jerry Quiller Classic this Friday and Saturday.

Friday is scheduled to have the have the hammer throws, javelin and triple jumps compete beginning at 2 p.m., while the rest of the field events and running events will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday.

The Buffs are coming on the indoor season with a NCAA National Championship in the women's mile from Micaela DeGenero, who led the women's team to tied for 11th in the championships as a team. The women tied Oregon for the highest scoring Pac-12 team at the National Championships.

With the outdoor season here, the CU women are poised better than ever to take over the Pac-12. The additions of the steeplechase and 400 hurdles play into returning NCAA Outdoor qualifiers Madie Boreman in the steeple and Abbey Glynn in the hurdles. The women's team also welcomes Abby Nichols back for her final outdoor season after qualifying for both the 5,000 and 10,000 last season.

On the men's side, Aaron McCoy will make his transfer to the 400 hurdles along with Garrett Nelson. The men's team will also have transfer Stephen Jones who is a strong steeplechase athlete that qualified for the championships in 2019. The final addition for Colorado is Dominique Williams who had an incredible indoor season unattached in the weight throw.

The Buffs will be honoring the late Air Force track coach Ralph Lindeman that passed away earlier this month. Colorado will have a moment of silence for the coach Saturday at 11 a.m. prior to the National Anthem.

BOULDER – The University of Colorado track and field program opened the 2022 outdoor season here Friday with the first day of field events at the 2022 Jerry Quiller Classic.

The Buffs throws were on full display in the javelin and hammer throw with wins in the men's hammer throw from Dominique Williams and in the women's javelin from Jada Green.

Williams, who competed unattached in the weight throw during indoors, picked up right where he left off last season with a winning toss of 60.56 meters (199-0) in the men's hammer. He won the meet by more than three meters and was just two feet from his personal best which is already good for third in CU history. Clayton Castro also had a good toss, placing third with a mark of 54.10 meters (177-6).

Green, who burst onto the scene last year in the javelin, won the meet by more than four meters with a winning toss of 43.33 meters (142-2). She was joined by Allie Routledge in fourth with a mark of 31.62 meters (103-9).

On the men's side, Henry Carlson placed fourth in the men's javelin with a toss of 52.12 meters (171-0). For

In the women's hammer, Elena Opp led five CU women with a second-place finish, throwing 54.12 meters (177-7). That mark is good for fifth in CU history and is the third-best mark by a CU woman in Boulder in school history.

The Buffs continue the Jerry Quiller Classic tomorrow with events beginning at 11 a.m.

"
BOULDER – The University of Colorado track and field program picked up 15 wins on the final day of the 2022 Jerry Quiller Classic here Saturday afternoon.

The CU women absolutely dominated every event on the track, winning or placing the top attached collegiate athlete in every event they were entered in. The only events that CU didn't have the top woman finisher were the steeplechase and 4x400-meter relay in which CU did not compete.

One of the most impressive wins today came from freshman Grace Jenkins in the women's 400-meter dash. Jenkins finished the lap in 54.97 seconds, good for 10th in CU history in her first outdoor race. She was followed closely by Jaida Drame in second in 55.51. The two traded places in the 200-meter dash with Drame winning in 24.95 ahead of Jenkins' 25.56 second finish.

Colorado swept the top three spots in the women's 1,500-meter run to start the meet, led by Gabrielle Orie in 4:32.27 seconds. Kyla Christopher-Moody finished second in 4:39.86 followed by Carley Bennett in third at 4:41.04. The other event the women swept was the 400 hurdles where Abbey Glynn opened the season under the 60-second barrier at 59.30. Freshman Emma Pollak came in second at 60.05 seconds, while Reese Renz finished in 62.02 seconds. Renz took the title in the 100-meter hurdles earlier in the day in 14.27 seconds ahead of Elise Gillett in second at 15.13 seconds.

The two other events the women won on the track were the 100-meter dash and 800-meter run. Kaleah Ruff edged Kylee Harr at the line in 12.47 seconds with Harr right behind at 12.52 seconds. Harr was the only field event winner for either the men or women today, taking the high jump crown with a clearance of 1.72 meters (5-7.75).

The distance squad finished out the meet with Abby Nichols winning the 800-meter run in 2:09.59 while Joelle McDonald was the top attached athlete in the women's 3,000-meter run at 10:35.19. Freshman Hannah Miniutti competed unattached but won the 3,000 in an impressive 9:50.86 effort.

The men had a great day as well, winning seven events including sweeping the men's 400-meter hurdle race. Aaron McCoy moved up one spot to fourth in CU history with a personal best 50.85 second race, while Garrett Nelson crossed in 51.76, good for eighth in CU history. In third was Kellen Monestime at 52.53 seconds.

The CU men also took both crowns in the short sprints with Luc Andrada winning the 100-meter dash in 10.67, then coming second to Tyler Williams in the 200-meter dash as Williams ran 21.36 for the win.

The men's distance squad won all three events here with Andrew Kent starting things off running 3:51.83 in the 1,500-meter run. Unattached athlete Ben Greene won the 800 followed closely by Noah Hibbard in 1:53.97.

Arguably the best race for CU came in the men's 3,000-meter run where both Hunter Appleton and Jake Derouin ran top-10 times in the non-NCAA championship event. Appleton won the race in 8:19.04, the best 3k for a CU man since 2018 and fourth in CU history. Derouin was second in 8:24.31 seconds, good for fifth in CU history behind Appleton.

The CU men ended the meet running four 4x400-meter relays and taking the top four spots in the race. The two sprint relays ran 3:17.75 and 3:18.09, while the distance-oriented squads ran 3:27.24 and 3:27.36.

The top field event finishes for the CU men were Noah Bouchard placing second in the high jump, Aidan Christiansen placing second in the long jump and Dominique Williams placing third in the shot put.

The Buffs separate next week with a squad heading to the Texas Relays Wednesday through Saturday and the rest heading to the CSU-Pueblo Invite on Friday and Saturday.

AUSTIN – The University of Colorado track and field program wrapped up the second day of the 94th annual Texas Relays here Thursday, led by Avery McMullen concluding the sixth-best heptathlon in CU history.

Fresh off her All-American finish indoors in the pentathlon, McMullen put together a stellar heptathlon finishing ninth overall with 5,495 points. She had personal bests in the final two events, the javelin by nearly a meter at 33.39 meters, and in the 800-meter run by two seconds at 2:22 flat.

The next event for the Buffs was the 400 hurdles with both men and women competing. The women's prelims went first with freshman Emma Pollak leading the way in 59.43 seconds. Her mark is good for ninth in CU history in her second race. Abbey Glynn was right behind her in the standings, finishing 15th in 59.66 seconds.

The men followed with Garrett Nelson leading the Buffaloes out of the University/College Timed Finals. He won his heat in 52.20 to finish third overall in the division. In his same heat, teammate Kellen Monestime ran 54.17 to finish 14th overall. Aaron McCoy competed in the prelims of the Texas Relays division, finishing 17th overall with a time of 52.21 seconds.

The final competitor of the day and only field event athlete entered for Colorado was Jada Green in the women's javelin. Green opened up the competition bombing a 45.17 meter (148-2) toss which put her in fourth after the first round. She entered finals in the sixth position but finished eighth with her best throw being her first.

AUSTIN – The University of Colorado track and field program advanced both the men's and women's 4x400-meter relays to the finals here at the Texas Relays Friday afternoon.

Both squads will compete Saturday in the University/College Division 4x400-meter relay finals with the men starting at 3:35 p.m. MT and the women starting five minutes later.

The women's squad of Grace Jenkins, Emma Pollak, Jaida Drame and Abbey Glynn finished the prelims in 3:36.85 seconds, good for fifth in the overall time. The women won their heat as Glynn made up a four second gap on Kansas State in the final leg, closing in 51.37 seconds to edge the Wildcats by two-tenths of a second.

The freshmen duo of Jenkins and Pollak came out in 55.63 seconds and 55.11, then Drame had a phenomenal third leg at 54.67 to put Colorado in second. Glynn, who had the second-fastest officially timed split at 51.39 seconds, made up the difference and gave CU the automatic qualifying spot.

The women's prelims were won by Arkansas at 3:31.87, then followed closely by Texas at 3:32.60. Both of those squads are entered in the women's 4x400-meter relay invitational final, so Colorado could enter the U/C finals with the third-fastest time from prelims and the top qualifying team by way of winning their heat.

On the men's side, the quartet of Tyler Williams, Ian Gilmore, Garrett Nelson and Aaron McCoy finished eighth overall, advancing with the third spot in the next five fastest times. Williams came out of the blocks in 46.30, followed by Gilmore in 46.56 and Nelson in 47.54. McCoy closed it out in 46.11 as the Buffs were third in their heat behind Texas and South Plains. LSU had the top time in prelims at 3:05.59.

Like the women's division, Texas is also entered in the men's 4x400-meter relay invitational final, so Colorado may become the seventh-seeded team in the finals. Arkansas, who was entered in the prelims, did not run as they are also in the invitational final.

The lone individual event of the day was Luc Andrada in the men's 100-meter U/C Timed Final. Andrada finished in a wind-legal 10.58 seconds, just eight-hundredths of a second from a top-10 time in CU history.

Sound like a couple solid 4X400M relays today against some good fields. (Yesterday's prelim by the women moved them to 3rd to all-time in the Buff record books, while the men's time today makes them the 4th fastest team in Buff history (the 2nd fastest, from last season, also includes most of this year's team).)

AUSTIN – The Colorado track and field program closed out the 94th annual Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays here Saturday afternoon with a pair of third-place finishes in the 4x400-meter relay University/College division finals.

The men's team finished third in an improved time of 3:06.16 while the women's squad finished third in 3:37.61.

The men's relay was first through the first two legs average of 46.3 legs between Tyler Williams and Ian Gilmore. The men dropped to third in the third leg with Garrett Nelson with the baton, then Aaron McCoy closed in a 45.74 second split which was the second-fastest split recorded in the final.

The men improved by more than half a second from their prelim time and were just five-hundredths of a second from tying the third-best relay in CU history.

The women's relay of Grace Jenkins, Emma Pollak, Jaida Drame and Abbey Glynn finished third, running a little less than a second slower than their prelim time. The team was seventh through first three legs with Jenkins and Pollak averaging 55.3 second splits. Drame brought the stick around in 54.65 seconds, then Glynn made up four spots with a 52.21 split. Her split was the second-fast split of the final.

The Buffs are scheduled to separate to three different meets next weekend, the Stanford Invitational, Grand Canyon University Antelope Invitational in Phoenix and the Fum McGraw at CSU.

As noted in the article quoted above, the team is planning to be at 3 different meets next weekend. From a letsrun.com forum post, looks like a lot of the top distance folk are going to be at Stanford. This is per the list of accepted entries at https://www.rtspt.com/events/stanford/invite22/college_accepted.htm .

BOULDER – The University of Colorado track and field program heads to the Stanford Invitational and Front Range Open at the Air Force Academy this weekend.

The distance squad will head to Stanford to compete late Friday night, while the rest of the team will head to Air Force Saturday. Friday's events will be streamed on FloTrack.

Colorado is coming off a week at the Texas Relays highlighted by a pair of third-place finishes by the 4x400-meter relays and Avery McMullen scoring a personal best in the heptathlon.

With only two meets in hand, Colorado has a handful of athletes in qualifying position early for the NCAA West Preliminaries. McMullen leads the way for CU as the fourth-ranked athlete in the heptathlon, followed by both 4x400-meter relays ranked in the top-12. Colorado has a total of 23 performances currently ranked in the top-45 in the West.

Colorado has athletes in all of the jumping disciplines while Kara Lucyk rounds it all out with the 800-meter run.

Moving to the sprints and hurdles, six athletes will compete with five doing a 400 in either the hurdle race or open. Nick Nuhfer and Kaleah Mitchell-Ruff are the only athletes not hurdling, with Nuhfer competing in the 200 and 400 while Mitchell-Ruff competes in the 100 and 200.

Colorado closes out the 2022 home schedule the following weekend in the 2022 Colorado Invitational April 8th and 9th.

Meet day for many of the distance folk!
(I updated the post above (#15) to include the link to the final schedule, and refine the info on when the Buffs begin and end running. Quickly (so I easily could be wrong) going through the heat sheets and that final schedule, looks like the only Buff running this afternoon will be at around 2:39 PM MT, with the next CU runner not toeing the line until 7:01 PM MT.)

Looks like the weather gods are doing what they can for some fast times, as the high for Palo Alto is forecasted at only 71° today, with it predicted to be in the low 50's when some of the 10000M races go off late tonight.

STANFORD – The University of Colorado track and field program had a solid showing at the Stanford Invitational Friday evening, posting three times in the top-10 in CU history.

The top mark of the day went to Abby Nichols in the women's 5,000-meter invitational section, finishing fourth overall in 15:27.11. Nichols was the top-performing collegiate athlete in the heat and her mark is good for fourth in CU history.

After that, a pair of CU transfers entered the record books in Andrew Kent in the men's 5,000 and Charlie Sweeney in the men's 10,000. Kent finished fourth in the men's 5,000 invitational section in 13:28.28, good for fifth in CU history in the event. In the men's 10,000 invitational, Sweeney finished 12th overall in 28:33.39 seconds, also good for fifth in CU history. Both marks are the earliest mark in the top five in CU history.

Colorado's India Johnson and Emily Covert took home the title in the women's 10,000 section two late Friday evening. The two finished in 33:50.67 seconds, separated by just two-thousands of a second with Johnson winning the section. The two women dominated the field by more than 19 seconds.

Two other CU women competed today, Gabrielle Orie and Hannah Miniuttu in the women's 5,000 second section. Orie finished seventh in 16:07.07, while Miniutti finished 10th in 16:08.99.

The men had Stephen Jones open the meet in the steeplechase, running 8:44.16 seconds. He finished eighth overall in the invitational section and was less than a second from a CU top-10 time. Noah Hibbard took to the track next in the 1,500 second section, finishing second in 3:47.95. Jace Aschbrenner also ran for the men, finishing 22nd in the 5,000 second section in 13:59.84.

Closing out the meet at past midnight mountain time, three men ran in the 10,000 second section. Paxton Smith crossed the line in eighth in 28:59.22 seconds, less than 10 seconds from a top-10 time in CU history. Hunter Appleton finished 18th overall in 29:32.85, while Alec Hornecker finished 23rd overall in 29:50.25.

"
USAFA, Colo. – The University of Colorado track and field high jumper Kylee Harr had a breakout performance here Saturday afternoon to win the women's high jump at the Front Range Open.

Harr, who came into the meet in a three-way tie for 10th in CU history, cleared her previous personal best of 1.75 meters (5-8.75) on her final attempt to advance along with an Air Force athlete and teammate Avery McMullen. Harr then cleared 1.78 meters (5-10) on her third attempt to win the meet, but she didn't stop there as she cleared 1.80 meters (5-10.75) on her second attempt to move to fifth in CU history in the event.

With the clearance, Harr is now tied for ninth in the NCAA and tied for fourth in the West region.

The men also had a strong performance in the record books with Dominique Williams winning the men's hammer throw with a toss of 62.62 meters (205-5). He launched that personal best throw on his second attempt but cleared the 60-meter mark on his first four throws. He betters his mark that is third in CU history by four feet.

Both the men's and women's squads picked up three wins on the day. For the men, freshman Eli Heitmann had an impressive performance in the 400 hurdles, running 54.12 seconds to win the meet. He was joined by fellow freshman Aidan Christiansen who jumped 6.81 meters (22-4.25) to win the men's long jump with his teammate Jackson Meyer finished second just 10 centimeters behind.

On the women's side, Avery McMullen had a massive personal best in the 100 hurdles, winning the meet in 13.64 seconds, a three-tenths of a second improvement. Fellow combined events athlete Allie Routledge won the women's long jump with a jump of 5.39 meters (17-8.25).

The Buffaloes return home next week for their home season finale at the Colorado Invitational Friday and Saturday.

Preview for this weekend's meet, the last home meet of the season.

As usual, Friday includes the most dangerous throws (javelin and hammer), along with the triple jump. All the other events are planned for Saturday, with the 1st beginning at 11:00 AM.

Very cool they're planning on this being the 1st home meet that they plan on having video coverage for (on Saturday)!

BOULDER – The University of Colorado track and field program closes out the 2022 home schedule this weekend hosting the Colorado Invitational Friday and Saturday.

The meet will begin Friday at 2 p.m. with men and women's hammer throw, javelin and triple jump. The rest of the events will begin at 11 a.m. on Saturday.

Colorado will compete its men in every event except the 200 and 5,000. The women will compete in everything except the 3,000, 5,000, pole vault and both horizontal jumps.

Abby Nichols took the NCAA by storm last weekend, running the NCAA leading time in the 5,000. She was awarded the Pac-12 Woman's Track Athlete of the Week for her efforts, becoming the 11th Buff to earn the honor.

Nichols will not be in action this weekend, but the defending NCAA Champion in the mile, Micaela DeGenero, will make her outdoor debut in the women's 800. She will be joined by Madie Boreman fresh off an All-American finish in the mile indoors. Boreman will lead a number of Buffs in the 1,500.

Other indoor NCAA Championship athletes that will be competing this weekend include Avery McMullen in the 200 and 100 hurdles and Eduardo Herrera in the men's 1,500.

On the women's side, key athletes to watch this weekend include Kylee Harr who is 15th in the NCAA in the women's high jump after clearing 5-10.75 last weekend at Air Force. Grace Jenkins and Jaida Drame will be in the women's 400, both chasing top-10 times in CU history, while Abbey Glynn and Emma Pollak will lead the 400 hurdles.

Colorado will also have a number of athletes compete in the steeplechase this weekend. Alisa Meraz-Fishbein will lead the women's field while Caleb Niednagel will be with a quartet of Buffs in the men's race.

For the men, the 400s are toughly competed with Tyler Williams and Ian Gilmore in the open race while Aaron McCoy and Garrett Nelson will lead the hurdle race. All of those men will participate in the 4x4 as well at the end of the meet.

Colorado will honor more than 20 senior student-athletes Saturday that are competing for the last time at Potts Field. Saturday's meet will also be live streamed by Buffvision, the first production for CU at an outdoor track meet.

A nice start to the last home meet of the season***, highlighted by senior thrower Dominique Williams getting within a foot or so of setting the Buff record in the hammer.

*** Didn't mention before, but tomorrow's competition, per the below article, also includes a senior day ceremony for 16 seniors.

BOULDER – The University of Colorado track and field senior Dominique Williams put on a show here Friday evening during the first day of the 2022 Colorado Invitational.

Williams won the men's hammer throw with a toss of 64.38 meters (211-3), a six-foot personal best and moving him within 13 inches of the school record. All of his throws were over 61 meters, including two throws in the 64.30s. For now the record set in 2015 by Alex Kizirian of 64.71 meters (212-4) is safe, but Williams is just getting started.

Williams was joined by two Buffs with impressive marks today. Tyler Sconce jumped up to fourth in CU history at 60.95 meters (200-0), more than 10 feet past his previous best. His throw was good for second in the meet. Close behind was Clayton Castro at 56.30 meters (184-8), just four feet from entering the top-10. He placed fourth overall.

In the women's event, Elena Opp was the top Buff with a throw of 54.06 meters (177-4), just three inches from her personal best. Jane Powers finished sixth while Gya'ni Sami rounded out the top-10 in seventh.

The Buffs won one other event this evening with Jada Green leading the way in the women's javelin. Green won the event with a toss of 47.29 meters (155-2). Elise Gillett finished fifth in the event to round out the top-10 for Colorado.

Three other men were in the top-10 for CU, Jackson Meyer in the triple jump finishing sixth (13.61 meters | 44-8), and Henry Carlson (49.79 meters | 163-4) and Nick Bianco (43.90 meters | 144-0) finishing eighth and 10th in the javelin, respectfully.

Colorado ramps up action tomorrow starting at 11 a.m. CU will honor 16 student-athletes competing for the final time in a CU jersey at Potts Field at 10:45 a.m.

Article after yesterday's action-

BOULDER – The University of Colorado track and field senior Eduardo Herrera led the Buffs here Saturday on the final day of the 2022 Colorado Invitational, winning the men's 1,500 in an altitude converted top-five NCAA time.

Herrera, who battled strong winds all day, won the men's 1,500 in 3:44.46. He not only won the race by eight seconds, but with altitude conversion his mark translates to 3:39.11 which betters the previous NCAA West-leading time of 3:40.50 set by Oklahoma State's Fouad Messaoudi. His mark is good for fourth in the NCAA before today.

The top mark for CU men in terms of CU history belonged to Noah Bouchard today in the men's high jump. The freshman won the meet with a jump of 2.12 meters (6-11.5), moving him to a tie for sixth in CU history. It was an extraordinary day for the high jumpers as Kylee Harr took the women's title with a personal best 1.81 meters (5-11.25) which moves her into a tie for fourth in CU history. This is the second weekend in a row that Harr has cleared 1.80 meters.

The Buffs won a total of 13 competitions today, including the men's 400 hurdles where the men swept the podium. Aaron McCoy won the race in 50.95 seconds, followed by Garrett Nelson in 51.89 and Eli Heitmann in 54.11.

In the men's 100-meter dash, Luc Andrada won the sprint in a wind-legal 10.46 seconds, moving him into eighth in CU history. He also joined up in the men's 4x1 that took the title in 40.95 seconds.

The women's 4x1 squad won their race as well in 45.67 seconds, good for eighth in CU history. Two members of the squad picked up wins with Abbey Glynn winning the 400 hurdles in 58.34 seconds, while Jaida Drame won the open 400 in 55.44 seconds. Glynn was joined by freshman Emma Pollak in the hurdle race, finishing second in 59.25 seconds to better her seventh-best mark in CU history.

Two other CU women won races today with Avery McMullen winning a pair. She bettered her eighth-best mark in CU history in the 100 hurdles with a winning time of 13.61 seconds, then doubled back in the 200 to win in 24.60 seconds. Madie Boreman opened the winning for the women in the 1,500, taking the title in 4:29.25 which converts to 4:22.83 seconds.

The CU men closed out the meet by winning the 4x400-meter relay in 3:14.45 seconds.

The Buffs head to southern California next weekend to compete in the Mt. SAC Relays, Bryan Clay Invitational and Beach Invitational. Colorado will also send athletes up to CSU to compete in the Doug Max Invitational.
