Rodriquez new Michigan Coach

So, how are we liking our chances against WVU next year now?

personally i think it is too early to tell, the fallout is just beginning. he's taking most of his assistants. reynaud and slaton are likely going to the nfl, devine's rumored to already asked to be released to transfer. they had a big time JC recruit that was en route to morgantown to start working out and was going to enroll in january, he heard the news and turned around and went home.

i'd say they'll lose half of their recruiting class, they need to act in a hurry to get a new coach or that class will be awful.

Why is everybody so down on Rita? Also, what the heck do they mean when they talk about RR and the cheerleader? Those mountaineer are a strange breed.

He was banging a WVU cheerleader, got her preggers, she had an abortion.

His wife is white-trash, she has big hair (think the 80's) that is bleached, she tans way too much is all leathery.

She's into the social scene, otherwise she would've divorced Rich over the cheerleader thing. Instead she knows she has him by the balls and uses it to her advantage.

No wonder the guy hardly ever smiles:sad1:.

I guess that is the screwing you get for the screwing you got.

discuss what you meant when you chose to include the word, "even."

a pedantic reversion to fusker arrogance? or a wretched sense of sentence structure?

if it is the former, might i remind you that a number of stars have been jumping off the ss little red. conversely, the buffs have started to reel in the stars we think will make a difference.

if it is the latter, how on earth were you certified to teach in the state of colorado?

Um, what the hell are you talking about? At what point in time did my post refer to Nebraska, Colorado, or anything pertaining to your recruiting class? What I was saying is that WVU will not only lose recruits to other schools, but they may lose players who are already there. I wasn't speaking about a specific player or another specific school taking them. Jesus, take off the hate hat for a minute and participate in a converstaion about college football, not your hatred for NU.

That dude is F'ing sick! Every coach in the country would bend over backwards to get that kid. Not only was he the #1 recruit coming out of HS, but he's proved he can hack it in college. Should be an interesting couple of months at WVU.

honestly he's too small to be an every down back in college in most situations. he'd be ideal at UF where Meyer knows how to best utilize his talent.

I would agree with that. He's definitely in the same mold as Percy Harvin. A coach that knows how to utilize him will have big rewards. Can't see him going to Florida or USC, but I could see him at a place like Louisville, Cal, Oregon, or some other place that mixes things up well.

the big least has a rule preventing from transferring within the conference. he's a fla boy with 5-6 kids living in florida, i'd expect him to go south.

I could easily see him going to Florida. If he has to sit out this next season, Harvin probably goes pro at the end of the year and Devine could probably step in and fill a big part of the hole that would leave.

It is a business, but when these coaches recruit they largely sell themselves and their staff to the kids; the school is often secondary; they look the boys in the eye and tell them they want to make them into college players and they get the kids to believe in them and their program. When they leave that breaks the trust. It is a business for the coaches (most of them) even though they try to make it more of a bonding - mentoring thing. It's not a business for the players and recruits - I think that is the rub.

It's also part of growing from a boy into a man. That's life. Learn something from it.

i think she is referring to this: "I would think you could even pull some of their players at this point in time."

like you were saying "even lil ol' CU could pull in some of WVU players at this point"....

I meant "you" in the collective sense. As in all CFB programs. Sorry if that came out sounding like I meant CU.

bingo.

thanks for the clarification. which is why i asked.

although it makes me a little sick to my stomach to defend one of "you", i read it in more of the non-threatening, collective sense when i first saw it.

it is a possibility that "you" could mean every program in america. i would lean toward the term "everyone", but to each their own.

WVU fan is not taking this one real well. I can't really blame them, they were rolling and were likely to get quite a bit better over the next few years with RR at the helm. They were in the mix for the MNC until Wanny, his porn star mustache and the Panthers came along.

It amazes that a coach can get so close and then **** it up. Bobby Bowden built an FSU program that was considered nothing special into a powerhouse because he stayed at the program. Now its even easier because the talent pool is better and larger and the big school have less scholies. Thus you can win anywhere (Louisville, Utah, BSU). Rich was just getting some good momentum and then he went and ****ed it up.

To some WVU is a ****hole. However, its pretty well positioned near some major talent pools on the east coast. Certainly better than Utah or BSU. RR now reminds me of Dennis Francione. Except where he is going to go and coach has some seriously tougher admittance standards than I bet WVU had.
